Re: Singapore International School
Hi, Old man! I enjoy being young!
I really query the quality of your 'Indepth' research. You have only told us the conclusion of it but never tell us how you did it. As you are willing to show your son's school report (it is so private, but I am not interested), I think you don't mind make public your 'Indepth' research report (which should include introduction, aim of the study, method, result, discussion, conclusion, and references coded). I think it is very interesting and helpful to other parents when they choose school for their beloved children!

I probably much older than you little boy !!
Please use your logical thinking before trying to challenge me.
What's wrong with all my previous postings?
It is true that I had conducted a thorough, detail, in depth research about why ESF can produce students with quite an even and high academic standard. You had also consulted an education pschologist about the system of ESF.
***However, in the recent postings, it seems that this is not the case.***
Why you think it is not the case?
I had said that I don't know the details curriculum of ESF as well as what exactly ESF has taught my boy. It is not contradicted to my previous postings. I had conducted the overall search on ESF curriculum and know the overall picture as well as the teaching approach and style of ESD but I hadn't or there is no need to go into the extreme details such as what my boy learns in this week, what new words he has learn in this week, whether he knows times table in this week, whether he has learnt mammals, plants, vocanos in this week,...... etc, etc.
Can you now see my points !!!!

Another thing, you mentioned that you only concern whether your kid can cope with ESF's system and develop his potential. Does it mean that ESF system is only suitable to a certain proportion of students and your son may not be one of them?

Why I concern whether my kid can cope with ESF's system? The answer is very simple. In order to obtain maximum benefits from any system, we have to do something or adjust ourselves. Even the school has an excellent system, it doesn't mean that the parents can just hold up their hands and only let their kids on their own following the schools. Instead, we have to cope with the school when the school has any requirements for us to cooperate with and we also have to monitor whether the kids are developing or have any problems at school (like my boy who has emotional disturbance at year 1). In case we find our kids not following the track as requested by the school, we have to work with the school closely in order to solve the problem.

Leehoma001,
Hi, little boy again!
I remember in one of other threads, you said you had conducted a thorough, detail, in depth research about why ESF can produce students with quite an even and high academic standard. You had also consulted an education pschologist about the system of ESF. At that time, I admired you very much since I am a lazy father. I just asked my friends' opinion and visited some of the schools. However, in the recent postings, it seems that this is not the case. Therefore I advise you to conduct the research again. This may be a very good PhD thesis and worth publishing so as to benefit our future generation and help the education reform. Now, I am so disappointed that you only mention about to trust the school. However, if my memory is wrong, I give you my deepest apology.
Another thing, you mentioned that you only concern whether your kid can cope with ESF's system and develop his potential. Does it mean that ESF system is only suitable to a certain proportion of students and your son may not be one of them? This is just a gentle reminder, don't be angry about that.
