Take good care of your kid.  Let him drink more water and observe his sickness regularly.  I would suggest you bring him to see doctor if you have hesitation on his illness and don't wait.

Do call me for help if needed.  

Are you considering to change school for your kid?  If the school is new, then I have reservation to let my daughter study there.  Usually, the new school administration is not well organised.   May be I am subjective but my friends here told me about that.

When will you go?  May be we can go together to have a visit.  Honestly, I haven't visited other school before....    

There is one good kindergarten in our area called 金匯實驗幼稚園.  It is evaluated as Class 1 (same as Song Hing Ling) in Hong Qiao***.  But already very full......

***We are being told by the principal of my daughter's school and she said their school is in Class 2

If your son has no fever, it should not be chicken pox. It may be skin allergy. You know, there are so many polluted things in here, even air. Have u checked with the kindergarten too? Take care.

My elder son is sick too. He has been staying at home for 3 days now. I will let him back tmr.

There is a New Century Star in Pudong, I am not sure it is the same groupd or not. It's a bilingual kindergarten and costs around 3k-4k per mth. Heard that it's not bad.

I don't know whether I should let him go to school tomorrow.  He seems OK after taking a nap, eats, plays as usual. He is taking a bath & I noticed he has more tiny red spots on his lower arms.  I've sent a message to his teacher. Not sure if other kids have the same problems.  I'll chat with other moms.  My staff told me the best hospital for skin problem is Hua Shan Hospital. Any comment?

I don't have a plan to change school, just want to 818 to see if any summer class available for Jul-Aug. I guess the Pudong one is same school.  Actually, my husband's colleague recommend another Band 1 nursery close to our apartment but they don't have international class. Even he is now at international class but they all speak Chinese.

No matter where you go to have doctor consultation, I would suggest you to see the doctor asap if you have noticed more tiny red spots found.  At least you know what happened to your son.

I think the teacher will not let your son to come to the school.  They should fear about virus infection.

sorry to hear that your son is not feeling well. you better ask the doctor to find out the source for the allergy if the doctor think the rash is due to allergy.The reaction is usually more severe if there is second exposure to the allergen.

Hi Angela,

Thanks for your advise. I'll take him to see doctor again this afteroon to make sure he's OK.  I'm afraid they will ask him to take a blood test again. My husband is not around, I'm sure I can't hold him tight.

Try Fortune Kindergarten in Hongqiao. They have international class and classes will be running during summer holiday. But I am not sure they will let u join in July or not. Don't tell them u just want to join for 2 mths only. The school fees should btw 4k to 5k, with school bus service.

If not, join the nearby Band 1 nursery. Just 2 mth, nevermind la.....Let him to have diff experience ma....

By the way, can u tell me how many drops of Zyrtec your son is taking. I don't have the instruction and I don't know how many drops for my son.

It's 5 drops/time, 2 times per day.

I've seen another doctor yesterday, my staff took me there because her aunt works in that hospital. Still no conclusion but doc. suspected it's animal / flower/plant allergy.

His school is offer summer class too, have to check the schedule & fee.

We went to Century Park yesterday morning, my son has lots of fun. We rented the family bike (for 3 pax) for an hour at Rmb40.  The musical fountain & big fountain are nice.
