So what!!

He is "warm and loving" does not mean he is fair or accountable to the parents who apply the school and the public who are tax payers.

Have you heard the saying "好心可做壞事", we never deny he is "kind hearted" or have done "some touching things" ..

So, this is a challenge for an educator to be accountable to the public and to be fair to all applicants!!

有些人的討論已經不可理喻！之前更甚說在幼稚園被blacklist云云，算把啦！:p

Even if the "principal" did not verbally encourage this "begging seat behaviors"..but the body languages counts...as said by other parents in the past three years, this kind of sitatuation had not stopped!! Why he tolerates such practices?? why he keeps silence on these "practices"?

As a person with power to decide the application results, he did not stop and keep going to let these kinds of "crazy" things be happened and see these parents as "loving" parents as some of you said at the BK.

Are these parents "loving parents", may be, I don't know... does that mean other parents not using this kind of "begging seat behaviors", respecting the normal application procedures as spelt out in the school websites as "not loving" parents?? Those working mums and dads who work 9-5 as not as a "loving parents" that they do not have time to wait at the doors of the school every day???? Then they are deprived of the opportunities to have the equal access to the school placements with these "loving parents"??

1) Who to decide who are "loving parents"??? 2) What to decide who are "loving parents"???
3) Are you excluding or "punishing" some parents who are respecting your application procedures??
This is the public confrontation on these kind of "unfair practices". If he does not have this competency to take up this public confrontation, how can he manage the school??

Please be aware _ you are using public money, you needs to be accountable to the public!! You are not playing a "insider or small circle game", if so, you should prepared to face confrontations and challenges from the public!!

I do think that the school should be responsible, especially the leader (principal) should be accountable to ensure "fair admission" and "open admission" policy..

This is not your family business

This is using public money

The DSS school principals needs "Retraining" in their "Ethics", both management ethics and educational ethics...

I am not only refer to EC!!

直資監管不善 - including admission procedures as well. I think ED should look into the admission procedures, especially the "Knocking Door" Culture!!

你都好鍥而不舍.

叩門文化唔只直資, 私校甚至官津校都有, 只要有d名氣既學校, 長年累月都會有人叩, 你睇睇大抽獎後個叩門潮幾勁?!啲家長出盡法寶去叩你又睇唔睇到? 新聞都有賣d家長半夜2點就去學校門口等天光叩門, 呢d你有無睇到?

我知好多校長都好enjoy俾人叩, 唔只EC, EC只係蠢在公開講俾人知俾人有話柄, 我知至少有間女校既校長就好重視家長既"誠意", 2個waiting學生, 一個乜都無做, 一個每月寫信仲出埋小朋友做手功+去到門口交, 結果幾個月後有位啦, 當然就係收左有叩果個. 係學校角度, 有得揀梗係揀個有誠意既, 同學校理念相近既, 呢個好正常, 鍾意講原則, 唔鍾意求既咪考其他囉, 可能你小朋友勁到要學校求返你轉頭添.

叩定唔叩, 家長自己有能力去評定值得定唔值得, 覺得值得既咪去馬囉, 覺得唔值既講骨氣既咪close file囉.  LV出新款都好多人去排隊, 唔鍾意既會覺得班人無聊, 鍾意既會覺得好值得, 大家角度唔同姐. 毋須喋喋不休咁浪費自己咁多時間說這道那.

我都知你一定會打返好大段英文黎反駁我講既野. 不過一間學校好定唔好, 唔係由個別家長去評定, 亦唔可以因為某方面既唔好就否定成間學校既努力, 祝你小朋友入到你心目中最perfect既學校, 多謝!

Then, if this is a government funded ones, we should all challenge this "culture", not necessarily targeted on EC..

This is an open forum, we have the space to be critical to the educational policy and have the space to give comments on any schools based on our "real experience" with these schools...

So far, I just come across this experience with this school!! So, should I "shut up"?? Who can "shut me up"??

If next time, I come across next school with this similar experience, I will have the similar comments..and no body can shut me up?? even if you are coming from the "Communist" in China..

相信經過呢次搵學校, 其實大家既眼界都開闊左.
當然希望你小朋友早日搵到心儀學校, 而你唔需要再遇到令自己唔舒服既情況.

Thanks for your consideration. This is not about whether this school accept me or not at this stage as we have already got offers..

Still, just want to express my dissatisfaction on this "unhealthy knocking door" policy and I strongly opposed to this "culture"!!

文匯報 審計署報告揭露多所直資學校財務及行政管理混亂，直資學校接受公帑資助，教育當局有責任加強對直資學校行政、財務的監察，對違規者作出嚴厲處罰，防範直資學校變質，確保教學素質。 此次審計署揭發多所直資學校財務及行政管理混亂，說明直資學校缺乏監管已非個別問題。直資學校很大部分資源來自公帑投入，教育局有責任加強對直資學校的規管。教育局應成立專責小組，加強監察直資學校的財務，重新審視學校過往數年有否行政或財政上失當，並要求學校增加管理透明度，對嚴重違規者必須嚴懲不貸，以起阻嚇作用。

whatever, if u want your kid to go to EC, then do the things u consider it is good and right...Knocking door or do nothing...for me, I just send the app form, with my girl profilo for interview and was accept...but i finally drop the offer as my girl wanna stay in her beloved 津貼primary school....
