我地原本都係咁諗, 我同我佬都係普通屋村小學畢業, 中學我就去左沙田BAND 1中學, 我佬就跨區入左一個有少少知名度既男校...大家最終都大學畢業, 我佬仲讀埋MASTER添! 當身邊既人極力推我再叩"名"校小學嗰陣, 我都不若而同跟佢地講我地小時候都係咁咁咁...而家都唔錯吖!

跟住一輪炮轟又唻...什麼...你仲用番你以前小時候唻同而家比呀? 今時已經唔同往日架喇! baababaababa一輪咀的狂抦我...okok....

其實我真係好認同你講架, 因為我讀band 1中學嗰陣, 入到去, 見到個個勁人, 都唔知佢地係點樣讀書既, 成日都咁高分, 自己呢?...永遠包尾嗰幾個, 講自信心, 真係無架....中五會考之後,  轉番間band 2既中學....嘩...d自信心返晒唻, 發覺自己其實都唔係如此不濟啫, 原來都讀得掂架喎!...原來我都可以考頭幾頭, 而唔係由尾數起喎!

雖然我明白讀名校讀得好, 當然係好啦, 我諗個個都想...但又再諗深一層...其實都係既, 名校考第尾嗰d, 去到d二線學校, 隨時都考第一, 相反....響二線學校考開第一, 要去名校繼續考第一, 真係唔容易啊!

我佬話...正因為我地相信個女係有咁既能力, 所以都應該放佢入gh, 等佢見識下呢個世界既勁人, 我地唔介意佢慢慢浸, 慢慢爬, 但都唔想佢習慣考得好前而自滿!

不過gh都真係算係好好...各級無精英班, 成績表亦無名次, 只有各科既平均分, 家長只需要用個女既分數同d平均分做比較, 壓力點都無咁大!

十月媽咪：非常認同你的comment.  Despite my previous comment, I trust I may act like you when the time for my girl to select school has come. I really don't want to pay for the primary and secondary school education..... I asked my husband yesterday, he said he is willing to pay if a good school takes his girl.

努力啦!  Hope your investment in your girl will have big reward.

Have been missing for quite a while.  First of all Congratulation to Oct Mum that you got an offer from GH.  GH is a good school and your girl is so lucky.  Gigi will stick with KCS now.  I have not bought her the books yet, have anyone of you done so ?

Peer group is always my concern.  I recalled the time when I were in form 6 - luckily that all of my classmates are bookworms and they kept pushing me to finish all sorts of exercise to prepare for the A level.  I am definately one of the most laziest one.

Times flies, just can't tell where they have gone.  After settling Gigi with P1, I now will have to take care of the boy which is in K1 again.   More planning to work on.  

Any planning of the ECA for your kids in the coming year?

其實"投資"咁多野, 最終都係唔想個女學壞啫, 我唔期望佢會有好出眾既成績, 但我期望佢長大之後, 似番個"人"! 眼見現今既青少年....唉....真係好令人擔心! 無目標, 百無聊賴, 死蛇爛鱔, 真係...都唔知似乜! 嘔血呀!

你都要努力, 眨下眼又輪到你搵學校架喇, 話時話, 有無乜野心水學校呀?!

我都好希望GH既學習環境, 可以感染到阿女呀, 尤其希望培養到佢閱讀既興趣&習慣呢!

心水學校?  暫時一間仍未有呀! 現在更有少少似完全喪失方向....不直該選擇咩學校...

其實我一向沒有去研究，覺得小學對我女來說好像很遙遠的事這樣, 從一些朋友媽咪那裏聽到一些關於 P1 派位的資料, 一知半解,重一直"大安旨意",以為個女可入我中學母校附屬小學(Alumni has mark mah), 怎知最近才知道中學Alumni 沒有分,加上我不是Christian, 我女入我母校附屬小學之機會等於零。所以頓時不知怎算，一個月前上網看了Sai Wan Ho 區之校綱，一間都唔識 (I am used to be a Kln people)，個女在外又怕羞, 較為有名之DSS & private schools 的面試多數不行..... ...所以現在已採取阿Q政策, 暫時唔想啦! 船到橋頭自然直.......到時才算吧!

你既校網係西灣河嗰個網? 西灣河查實有乜野學校? 會唔會考慮誇網? 不過只有15分...首輪機會率唔太高, 不過阿女嗰班有兩個同學首輪報跑馬地聖保祿小學, 兩個都係15分, 兩個都收左! 唔介意係女校既話, 可以考慮下!

至於次輪大抽獎, 甲部跨區如果中到獎, 真係LUCKY過中六合彩; 但未嘗唔可以一搏的! 乙部本區既話, 有時間就研究下有咩好學校啦!

至於DSS或者私校, 無論小朋友咩性格都好啦, 做家長既, 點都會畀佢地試下, 如果唔想太大壓力&太辛苦, 就唔好漁翁撒網喇, 重點出擊搏一搏啦!

Actually, my girl will go to K1 the coming Sept with the boy of GIPW and girl of Chen.  Sure, I will try DSS and private schools, but not yet start the study at the moment.  I only know those very famous one like everyone else : ) But I have learnt and gained a lot by participating in this forum with you all.  Tks.

Thanks Sorb for finding out the exam time of KCS.

As for choosing Primary school for kids, it is really a long and challenge journey.  Glad that I have more experience now, could share more with you next time.

Good Morning.  Wake up so early.  Two years seems to be a long time but yr 2006 kids will be a bit different.  I am afraid they will have to face more competition as the birth rate was high esp mine is a "small" boy.  Interview skill is not so well developed as compared with his sister.

唔緊要啦, 反正細佬都係讀蘇幼, 如果面試真係無家姐咁好既話, 點都有蘇小做BACKUP既, 雖然蘇小話左唔會直接收番蘇幼既學生, 但相信家姐響度讀, 家姐又拎咁多朗誦獎, 學校點都會畀番少少面既!

The reason I sent my daughter to British Council was to provide an english environment to her.  Actually I didn't discuss with her about the content of the class.  My objective was achieved as she was happy to attend the class.

You daughter call Gigi?  Let's see if our daughter will be grouped into the same class or not.  I didn't buy the books, uniform, school bag,....etc for my daughter.  How about you?  I just call the book store and they said all the english book B will not be available until mid of Aug.  He said we can go to buy the remaining books first and buy the book B later.

My son will go to N1 in August and I will try to enroll the K1 of KCS for him in September.  I hope he can study K1 in KCS so he can follow the route of her sister.

十月媽咪, 跑馬地聖保祿小學??? I don't know there is another one woh other than the 聖保祿小學 located in Causeway Bay.  Is that one in Happy Valley good also?  I learnt it yesterday that if you have an offer from DSS, you cannot join the lucky draw (both 1st and 2nd round)........this is radiculous.....that is you can only have 2 routes to choose, paid or free.  You cannot try your luck with "free" and then go back to paid if you are of bad luck (I used to think we can, but wrong again). Does this mean if I want to participate in the lucky draw also, I can only accept offers from private school?

誇網?  - Yes, I have thought about it, but seems I have no extra mark for any 誇網 schools......unless I go to church.....actually, I will not go to church for this.  This is like cheating........I will only go to church if I believe.

Your girl gets the offer from GH after the lucky draw, not before, does this mean your girl is on waiting list OR GH announces the result after the lucky draw OR you go for an interview after the lucky draw?

Thanks for the info.  Yes the name of my girl is Gigi see if we can group under the same class.  Does anyone have a girl named "Mia" ?

As for English, she attended RWI in qq club.  I have not given her any English class until recently.  I might go for private tutor in P1 but will ask for a companion if possible.  1) to share the cost and 2) they will have more fun if they have friends together.  this will make the lesson less bored.

聖保祿有兩間的, 一間響銅鑼灣, 銅鑼灣呢間係私校, 原則上, 你唔係讀佢地既幼兒園or幼稚園部既話, 好難可以入到去讀小學部...除非....你小朋友真係勁"口力"吧! 而另一間係跑馬地天主教聖保祿, 呢間係津校, 今年阿女嗰班, 有兩個同學, 1st round (即自行), 只係拎住15分, 都已經入到, 開心到飛起!

你講得啱, 直資如果一早收左你, 而你又留左位, 你就要放棄自行分配學位, 更加要放棄埋大抽獎....就好似GIPW咁, 佢囡囡一早畀港同收左 (GIPW, 我有無記錯? 係咪港同?) 留左位之後, 就無得玩自行, 亦無得玩大抽獎的了!

至於我女, GH係私校唻既, 11月左右我地已經參加左首輪面試, 但當時只係得一個後備既回覆, 但我地都無所謂, 當時心態係, 就算派位派得唔好, 點都仲有蘇小響手....之後大抽獎抽到TKO第一志願, 但身邊各好友都全力叫我地再叩GH, 於是, 6月6日派位當日, 知道派唔到跨區第一志願之後, 就去左GH交多次PROFILIO, 大約一個月後, 就收到GH來電, 叫我地進行第二次面試...而當日, 由校長親自面見 (小朋友&家長都要見), 而收定唔收, 亦都係由校長當日即時決定...校長一話收, 就可以即交留位費....就係咁...做左GH妹了!

如果你想又玩自行, 又玩大抽獎, 但又想有個BACKUP的話, 咁你唔好諗DSS喇, 全力主攻私校啦, 因為絕大部份既私校, 都係畀小朋友玩埋個自行&大抽獎架!
