Tried LS in 20 marks but failed.

I've paid the registration fee at Ying Wa on Wednesday, that means I will give up the lucky draw in June though I live at Net 41.

Did you pay for Ying Wa?  Cody and Kian could be classmate in the future.  How would you choose between DBSPD and YW?

Dear 2ling,

yeah, we registered for Ying Wa already.  I don't think we (my husband and I) did well at DBSPD interview.  The atmosphere was tense and we did not like the facial expression of the lady in the middle...besides, i have looked at the booklist of p.1 this year, I don't think study life will be easy there as they use p.2 English book in p.1 and the math curriculum is half a year faster also.  Therefore, I think Ying Wa will be Cody p.1 school.  Let's keep in touch and want to know Kian soon.

雖然我冇機會考九龍私小(因為撞期)我會揀聖若瑟.  原因以下:
1. 男校(I perfer)
2. 英小
3. 有中學做backup (相信六年後佢一定做番英中), 報名嗰日見到佢哋個升中名單, 都見到佢D小學生可以考到其他名中學,如華仁, 喇沙, 男拔等.  個主任仲話佢哋小學畢業時保証最小每人有3張公開考試的証書以便佢哋出去考中學.
4. 學費平過九龍塘私小.
我始終覺得派位風險大,如果為咗九龍塘個校網放棄有中學的back up又要咁貴學費, 有D風險.  如果第時囝囝成績唔係好得, 咪第佢讀番聖若瑟的中學, 起碼好過去咗D唔好學校.  聽聞佢中學D學生好純吓.

踏入12月, 同阿仔考小學叫做暫告一段落, 現只等2nd round 中央派位, 可以rest 一下.

上星期五, 同阿仔去參加 HK Speech Festival 朗誦節, 雖然佢已學了3個月, 但始終今次係第一次參加公開比賽, 仲要站在100+人前讀一首英文詩, 所以我一路都擔心佢吾得. 幸好到佢出場時沒有怯場, 還很大聲地讀出首詩, 雖然到最後沒有得到獎項, 但我覺得佢已經很了不起,  (因同組比賽的小朋友都是小一, 小二的) 我同我老公簡直有點感動呢 !

I am total agreed with alisoncheung's comments.  

KTS is good school and good allocation % for secondary school.  However St. Jo is a positive school, and it's secondary school (new compaus) will be ready in year 2010/2011.

If I were you will choose St. Jo instead of KTS.  Good luck & Cheers!

We had the interview at DBSPD this morning.  Given that we have YW on hands, we found today's interview was just a causal one... not stressful at all.  Anyway, I do also think that YW is Kian's P1 school.  Stay in touch.

Having an elder brother at KV does help.  My #2 got a 2nd chance for the interview in which his performance was ok.  He's now got admitted to K1 in the coming year.

My #2 had an interview at KV on Sat.  But unfortunately he refused to smile or talk or sing in front of the interviewers.  He even refused to call me at my request.  Ai... He was cheerful while we're waiting outside but once we entered the interview room, he suddenly reserved his big smile, and then was again cheerful and playing (with all other teachers watching him enjoying the fun) while we're queuing up for getting the candy.  Not sure if having an elder brother in KV would be of any help.  Otherwise, I'm sure KV won't accept my #2.  And, I'm not confident in other interviews either.

仔仔都好大聲, 但最後有些失手.  佢同我都有失望. 去不到最好.
系一個好經驗

同考小一一様都有失望, 可能ma ma 忽然返夜校.  仔仔唔喜歡, 也影響佢心情.  所以只好叫停.  浪費學費, 見佢唔訓不停問點解你要返學呀, 唯有等佢大d才讀完個碩士還返個心願. 做ma ma 真系同仔仔成日一起, 走唔甩乎.
