Alice also wants to invite her class-mates and friends for birthday party this coming Sat but we found it's too rush to prepare and also it's not so polite with just a very short notice, so we refused her and promised to have next year.

我係路過的！  Actually I am 0609 mom, i.e.  my bb son is now 5.5 months old.  I would like to know if I want to enrol him in Pui Ching for kindergarten when do I need to start application.

PC only admits children aged 3 for K1 before 1/9. In you case, visit PC's website for the application announcement around Oct 2009 (for school year 2010-11), or maybe you can give them a call for details around that time. You may consider other kindergartens where 2-year-8-month-old child could be admitted so that your child can study K1 one year earlier, ie 1/9/2009.

真的十分佩服你，短短一篇己經詳述了小一的課程。有些想補充的是中文科由小一開始己經有文學欣賞，它会配合以動畫、电視及工作紙，對培養小朋友閱讀和中文十分有幫助。另外，中英文都会考講故事或對話，佔測驗及考試劵１Ｏ分，加上試卷都會出一些考應用或要小朋友懂「轉彎」答的問題，小二開始要科科９Ｏ分並不容易。

呵呵..多謝你既補充, 其實我響個樹寫既只可以話係 part of the story only la...邊會寫得哂咁多 (太多d 人實嫌煩唔睇我架喇... ), 要盡量用精簡既編幅 capture 哂所有 key points 真係唔容易....    Thanks for your supplement here la...  

加上試卷都會出一些考應用或要小朋友懂「轉彎」答的問題，
==> I would say 何止要識轉彎呢...in fact there are a lot of UNSEEN questions already in exam...so 小朋友唔可以只係一味讀死書喇...

小二開始要科科９Ｏ分並不容易。
==> 我就係知呢點...I would say even after P3, 我有理由相信只會越來越難 get high score, 所以先成日提住自己絕對不能自滿 (見依家有 8x or 9x 就以為個仔係 OK) , cos 高班d 應會更多野學, 所以先更要 prepare more for the future.

你說得對，P3 達90分當然不易，故85分己經是優異生了ｏ有時盡力都未必可達標，但只要他喜歡上學，keep 住有求知慾，喜歡閱讀，己相當不錯了。
