Hi Thirsty,

Sofia's still doing her homework not very seriously. Lately she likes to scribble something on papers with a pen & say those are Chinese characters. Last night she traced about 30 Chinese characters on re-writable flash cards that I bought from Taiwan. She enjoyed it so much coz there're many characters that she could recognize as she's learned them in school.

She still said that Yan Yan is her best friend although she's not sitting next to her this term. Did Yan Yan tell you she couldn't enter the "corner" coz she ran around while others walked properly? Sofia told me this few days ago.

I've not bought the Chrysenthemum yet, wl do so tmrw morning.

Our Marigold has 16 leaves but no sign of any flower buds yet. Think I better take a picture for the plant for next week's homework. However the tomato plant that we planted Dec/2005 has 10 tomatoes on the tree now!!! And they're growing bigger each day & gradually changing colors.

I'm very busy for the past 3 weeks as my domestic helper is taking her annual leave & wl b back only on coming Sunday. Therefore I'm feeling fatigue with all the cooking, washing, shopping & bringing Sofia in & out. Life would b easier commencing next week. Really looking forward to the CNY trip to S'pore & M'sia!

Are you going anywhere during the CNY holiday?

As for the reading, I read less to Sofia lately. Perhaps we've reached about 160 books. I asked Ms Wong for an extra "record book" but she said each student can only get one book so she didn't give me one. And I was too lazy to make further records. I think I should get a notebook to continue marking the title of the books that I've read to Sofia.

She's quite selective on books/stories. Even watching Ugly duckling she'll cry. She asked why's the duck alone? Where's it's mummy? And she doesn't like to see the duckling being bullied by other animals. May I know if Yan Yan is like that also?

Yan Yan told me that the best friend are sofia and Shum Yan Ting in her classroom.  Wa.....your marigold has 16 leaves but our plant was death before.

I will go to Japan in CNY holiday.  But i only bring with my elder daughter coz the weather is very cool (-8C to -10C).  I've promised Yan Yan's when I come back, i will bring her to go to Ocean Park, Disney and Lantau Island again because I've holiday fm 14 Feb to 25 Feb. She say "remember to buy more gift to me in Japan...Doraemon, Keroro, Hello kitty, Mickey....etc.

If we reached over 200 books, is it no more certificate or gift ?? When Yan Yan's read about poor or ugly books.  She will cry but she need me to telling the books continue.

The target for this year is 150 books, so there won't be any extra gifts or certificate even though we reached 200 or more books.

Oh! I've never gone on vacation without Sofia. She's been travelling with me since 6 mths old. Her 1st trip was M'sia. Then Macao, S'pore, Sydney, Nagoya & Taipei. Since her dad doesn't like cold places, I wonder when she'll have the chance to experience snow! The only chance she experienced snow was when we went to Disneyland during X'mas holiday.
