Re: 九月會讓子女讀SFA的家長請進
Dear All,
Congratulations to have your children enter to this esteemed school. Just something would like to share with all parents here as my son finished his P.1& .2 in SFA before. He will be promoted to P. 5 in SPCC this September. I hope below information still updating and beneficial to all of you:
1) No problems for 45 students per class as there will be lesser students in higher form as some students will be transferred to another schools later.
2) There will be a elite class starts in P. 3 for the first 30 students in P. 2 whole form.
3) Either P.1A or 1D is no different. But starts in P. 2, the class allocation will be in "S shape" according to their first term examination in the whole form.
#1 2A, #2 2B, #3 2C, #4 2D
#5 2A, #6 2B, #7 2C, #8 2D and so on.
4) The form number allocation sequence in this way:-
Chinese(9)
English(9)
Maths(9)
General Studies(5)
Music(2)
Art crafts(2) = 36
e.g. if your child got:
Chinese(82) 82x9/36=A (90-100)
English(78) 78x9/36=B (80-89)
Maths(92) 92x9/36=C (70-79)
General Studies(95) 95x5/36=D (60-69)
Music(80) 80x2/36=E (40-59)
Art crafts(75) 75x2/36=F (below 39)
A+B+C+D+E+F = X
X= Total marks for first term exam
Y= Total marks for 2nd term exam
Z= Total marks for 3rd term exam
(X+Y+Z)/3 = T (Total for final result)
For Chinese: (Chin. Language)= 200 (a)
(Composition) = 100 (b)
Total marks for Chinese: (a+b)/3
For English: (GE) = 800 (a)
(Dict) = 100 (b)
(Lit) = 50 (c)
(Oral) = 50 (d)
Total marks for English: (a+b+c+d)/10
MOST IMPORTANT FOR MATHS AS ONLY 1 PAPER FOR MAKRING.
D) Don't push your children in the preliminary stage as you should have to see what's their bottom line without your helping. Try to explore their genuine and potential.
E) Don't make comparison among students as it's really hard in my previous experience.
