Hi Jackielee,

Wah....9 photos !! We got 5 only.  But all pictures are very impressive and good.  There are class pictures, group pictures and individual picture.   

In the pictures, I can see my son's face / arm painting done by teachers, very nice      

And he and his classmates look very very happy in the pictures.       I think they were really enjoying the party that day, right?

Yes. They seemed very happy. My son didn't have individual photo wor, all with classmates, but that's OK. I like the photos.

About dictation, I can't see any marks in my son's dictation book.   

Your son's teacher give them 'marks' ?  

I always remind my son to write properly and tidy.  So far he's very OK.  I think it all depend on the performance of the kid on that particular day.  

Don't worry too much.  And after all, even you're worrying, I don't think we as parents can control anything about our little boys' performance, right?

We also don't have 'marks' for dictation wor!

For the dictation, just take it easy. I believe the major aim is to let the kids know what is dictation. Let them get used to it....

I learnt from the "primary section" that the competition in St. Jo primary is quite big.
Must be within the first 100 position to ensure the seat in Secondary school.
Are you worrying about it?

I think it's same for all so-called 'famous schools'.  So if we want our boys study in these famous primary, we should be well-prepared to face the keen competition.  No choice !  

換個角度睇，如果小朋友適應唔到間學校，离開對佢，佢父母，間學校都唔係壞事，況且係未名校畢業對將來發展唔係決定性因素gei。不過如果讀到，名校梗好D啦，無論師資，同學質素，學習氣氛都好D。

我地父母惟有盡量從旁協助渣。不過我個人覺得'開心', happy life 最重要。  
讀的唔開心，就乜都係假！

其實都幾驚，因為要升上中學個競爭力真係好大，我公司1個同事佢個小朋友都升唔到番上中學，佢係學校泳隊，而且亦係學校內部水運會取得多個獎項，所以我唸學校除了著重體能方面還有學術，兩者皆能!學youngmami話，名校梗好d ，就算考唔到中學，我唸St. Joe出黎都唔會好差。

今日參加左入學第一個同學仔生日會，認識左好多媽咪，而且佢地總介紹左我去買 啡皮鞋，我就立刻已經買左HKD139.-價錢唔貴，而且質地我覺都唔差，間鞋店係新世紀廣場對面，還有一間係深水埗，叫步陞鞋業。

I applied ST. Joseph for my son 2006 K1. Can you tell me about this school? Compare St. Catherine. which school is better. My son will have high school in US. But I want he can study Chinese too. The Chinese in Primary school is enough for normal reading and wring. I did not expect him to be writer.  
Is the competition of primary st. Joseph is tough? Is it helpful the Kindergarten in ST. Joseph?

我個仔讀A班，不過個日生日會另外有一位壽星仔係讀C班，
佢地一齊開生日會，請左我地A、C班家長一齊去。因為A班Mami同C班個Mami係K1已經認識，而且亦一齊考入St.Joe，小朋友生日日期亦好近，所以一齊舉行。
個日真係好多人，而且好熱鬧，都無時間同主人家傾兩句，所以唔知佢點樣有我地小朋友之名，不過我個仔放學時，我已經見佢手擰住張invitation card，我唸可能佢叫班主任係放學時派比佢地啦，至於人名我唸問先生擰掛，因為現家小朋友名有d都幾深，而且驚寫左同音唔同字,就唔係幾好意思。如果有機會再問清楚話比你地知啦!!!

相信讀St.Jo kinder 上 St. Jo Prim 係有幫助，我個仔冇分架，如果第二輪抽簽唔得，都要靠knock door架。

Next Monday will change winter uniform lah.  

Dr KONG just phoned me that the brown shoes are available for collect lah.  Timing just fit !  
I ordered the shoes last last Saturday, just 1 week + 2 days, faster than they promised (when order the shoes, they said 2 - 3 weeks ga)

St Cat is at KLN side, St. Jo at HK side.  So if I was you, I will choose St Cat if I live at KLN side, St. Jo if I live at HK side.

St Cat is also a very good school.  Hearsay their graduates are welcome by DGS and DBS.

我亞仔都係用緊之前老師比嗰舊，小朋友好難會擦得好干凈。我囝囝默書都係擦唔干凈，但老師冇當錯，算佢好彩。

Of course, the famous rubber must be  'Staedtler'. It is the old brand name and very famous. It is ok for the kid. My kid aleardy loss two rubber in the classroom.
Do you know the kid how to get the 'good child' card? One time my kid wear the winter uniform to get one. How about the other reason to get it?
