In our case, 1st thing my girl did was read a book.  The other girl who went in with her also read a book at the same time.  In my opinion, Mrs Dai used this time to study the portfolios.  Then my girl got interview by Mrs Dai first by rolling a dice with letters.  Mrs Dai ask her to tell the story that she just read.  Then asked those simple questions and show her the card.  Her card was about Christmas.  (again, this is from her month, not sure if 100% correct).

其實整個面試已經完成了，大家都可以安心慢慢等待。無論結果如何，我都很開心，因小女可以進入第二次面試。

same to you. i'm so glad and proud of my girl who had got a chance for 2nd interview. actually, i have not much hope that the school will accept my girl, as she is not the DGJS type girl in my eyes.

partly right for me, as i'm not that anxious while waiting for the result (cos' i've not much hope that the school will accept my girl). however, still want to see the msg here as there is always support from all of you here...

agree it is nice to have a forum like this for us to vent and release pressure!

just this morning I was thinking how come the education system in HK is so screwed up and painful for both the parents and the kids, and then I started wondering whether it was truly the right decision for not putting my girl into an international school instead

I asked myself do I want my girl to get into DGJS (or any other top tier school) so that I will have "face", or do I really think she will be happy studying there? I am not sure about the answer

well then I tell myself there is no right or wrong answer, and it is not the end of the world even if she gets into a school which turns out to be too much for her, as she can always then try to switch to another one.  Probably not easy, but it is possible.

Then I feel better.

不過我有咗sfa(真正心儀學校)個offer真係好好多 !

totally agreed.  but we can't put her in an international school, $ is a big burden to us as we have 2 kids.....

Same case, my girl got accepted from an international school last year but my hubby decided not to go simply because of $$$, not considering all the happy childhood that she might have given up as well.  Yes, we have 2 kids and $$$ honestly is an issue for enrolling in an international school.

And yet, thanks to all mommies support at the forum.  Checking out this site is already a daily routine for me.  btw, check out the new movie "I don't know how she does it".  it is all about mom, great movie to take a break from our stress.
