Hi gongonma,

You are so nice to help such many parents!  

I prepared the profile for my kid before I notice this website, otherwise I should have ask your help and get a copy of your sample.

Nevertheless, I am also interested to know the feed-back for providing a "rofile" together with the application form.  

After attended quite a number of interviews, I 've got the impression that most, if not all DSS/Private school would not really read your attached profile  (Except for information relating to certificates awarded to talented kids who have won some "prestigious competitions" in Hong Kong etc.).  They mainly rely on the kid's interview performance.

If anyone who has experience the other way round or your kids were accepted but you have not provided any profile, will you please share?

I share your view too.  

I think that some parents have overkilled with the profiles.   Be precise, list the biography plus one or two (at most three) very very distinguishable certificates would be enough.  List also your view on the kid's talent and character.  Plus a short paragraph on why you choose this primary school.

I have seen profiles like a "yellow page" of more than 2-inch thick (perhaps the parent had put in every signal letter or memo his/her kid has received since birth).   Just put yourself in the shoes of the interviewer's, do you really care to read each and every page ?

Be eye-catching, FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS.
