It is indeed pointless to keep going on plagiarism. For someone who has never stooped to such a level, I would never comprehend, so what can I say? Maybe plagiarism is prevalent in your school and is just a way of life to get ahead. It is always nice to have that good grade and still have time to play football or hang out. But don't confuse being a good son with having integrity. There are plenty of people who know what integrity means and it is very far from giving in to convenience. The detriment is clear for everyone but you to see. I am sure all the students who dutifully completed their homework and spent the 30 minutes to do their work would not feel "harmed". After all, they are not as smart and they deserved what they got. Kind of ironic that the "supposedly" best student has to plagiarize the others though.
For every wrong, there is always an excuse. It is indeed "convenient" to hand in a completed homework and not have to explain why it was not completed and why the homework was not appropriate. "Cutting corners" is always the easy way out. Who doesn't want to have an extra 30 minutes of time? Who doesn't want the grade without doing the work? Who doesn't want the free upgrade at a hotel by tipping the front desk? Who doesn't want the new client by buying him a nice dinner? Who doesn't want some free money from that stock tip? You are entitled to bring up your daughter however you want and I am sure you think you are doing a fine job. But don't for a minute assume that others would trade their integrity for convenience.
