For point 2 , if the quote was from the following, the "all" of last sentence from ema should have been missing and the meaning would be much much different then.

Dear all,

Heard from my sister this morning that during the PTA dinner last nite, she came accross the headmistress and learnt that the 200 short-listed candidates have been finalized (but she didn't ask if all have been informed). According to the headmistress, the school had critically designed the interview questions/games to test different aspects of the kids. Even if they do not perform well in the first part, they will allow them to go on with second part, but if they still not doing good there, of course the headmistress/interviewer would then ask her/him less questions (but my sister did not know what did she mean by the headmistress).

Thus far, i know 6 kids who were granted 2nd interview. 3 of them have either sister/brother studying in the school, another 1 has powerful "reference" letter, 1 has R, and 1 has nothing. Co-incidently, they were all interviewed in 1st batch. For those who were interviewed later, it may give you a little bit of hope (even thought it had been and still remains very slim. Indeed, i personally had even given it up - somehow you can tell your kids' performance). Also, i guess if your kid is being asked more questions, there sounds like a higher chance.

Inteview果日個reception老師話得唔得都會有信通知, 而且學校收左3個回郵信封, 唔會唔用瓜

仲有係學校貼左張notice話11月中會有結果喎

I think the school means that you will receive the final notice (accepted or not) in mid of Nov, or it should be 26 Nov. But as everyone knows, if you do not have the chance for 2nd interview, you will not be offering a place. So that's why parents now are very keen on receiving the calls and letter for 2nd interview.

你好！我想問吓係咪你女兒可以聽到校長問另一位小朋友的問題？而且校長同那位小朋友傾了咪好耐，仲玩埋game tim. 咁你女兒係咪都排緊隊見校長呀？最終有冇傾咁耐呀？ 因我嗰仔都有見校長，但就只有上半部，即聽故仔問問題，其他嘜都冇問了！

I can share with you my girl’ experience:
She went to a room for interview with Vice-principal.
She played a simple game with her, sth test your memory.
Then she asked her a few personal questions: your name, age, what school you are attending, what do you do after school.
At last, she told a story and asked few questions after.

When some of you mention the "principal", are you talking about the Head of School/Headmistress (校長) of SPCCPS, Ms LEE Tuen Yee Lydia?

So Vice-Principal is someone else?

When did you submit the application form?
When was your 1st interview?
Did you get the call this morning or just around noon?

Sorry I am asking many questions, but I am trying to figure out their sequence of calls, whether it's by group or application no or 1st interview date....

The interveiw panel is formed by a group of teachers, vice-principal and principal. I am not sure if it convey the successful rate of your child if she/he is not being interviewed by the principal ms. Lee, but instead the vice-principal. There were rooms (being blocked by partition) in the interview hall. Teacher will tell your child to sit and wait (usually they were given books to read while waiting) to see the principal (not mention if 正/副).
