Congrats. Is your D studying in UK? or HK for a Skype interview? Mind telling us what is her AS result and predicted A-levels result?

Yes, she is studying in UK now. Her AS result is good (to me at least) but she still thinks it is not good enough cause her classmates got full marks on some of the subjects.

I read frm the website that IC engineering requests 2A* in both maths & phy  + 1 A in third subject which is very high. So, she said the chance is not very high. But attend interview is a good experience to her, I hope.

Yes, true that having interview itself is already a good experience. As said on their website:

In addition to your academic ability, your application will be considered on your wider profile and on an interview where possible, which will assess your potential for success in your degree choice. ........ to understand your personal motivation, your commitment to your chosen area of study, and your broader interests.

So really nothing she need to prepare. Just be herself and enjoy it. Good luck.

讀 engineering 多數係要修 physics 的,有的要求3個A*先得.

3A*?? So high?? Why HK's univ don't need so high? I heard CIty Poly DSE student only need lower marks (like  20 poiints) can get in & HKU only need ~23. But why UK need so high?? How about medicine in UK? 4A*??

Engineering here is only ABC, not too high.....and it is USA not UK, can it be the same??

早兩星期同朋友談到GCE 的課程。他有個小朋友今年在香港讀F5，今天說受到我的啟發, 打算在明年在港考 2016 GCE - Maths/Further Maths and Physics, 也會報 2016 non jupas。如果他真的進行, 看看他的考試成績, 可以知道 GCE的 難度

他是在2016年完F5 時，用GCE AL報 non jupas。若不成功，繼續考DSE.
