但我識入到果個係有sibling, 但無interview.另外識一個，無sibling, 連interview 同 ...

暫時未聽過唔駛 interview 入到。
你可以去 icac 投訴。


同埋，討論 year one admission 冇乜意思
我講的篩選，主要在 year 10 以上

小學還好 d，中學一到 year 9 就好明顯開似分流
不過好多人唔會講，唔通話自己個仔讀得唔好咁冇面
好多自己黯然去外國就算，然後學校又收本地名校生讀 year 10 或 year 12

讀國際學校唔係大部份諗住出國讀大學咩？黯咩然去外國就算呢？

因為有人話 esf  全部學生上 ib ，冇篩選，成績好。
我只係提醒好多唔熟 esf  內部的人，其實 esf 唔係冇篩選。
至於出去讀書，好多當然係開開心心出去讀名高中，但有好多學生根本水平好差，不能應付 ib，但又不甘讀 btec 的。
我點解要拿 esf 講，只係覺得有人話部份高 average  學校 (dbs spcc 甚至 logo)，話人地點篩選學生。
但其實，有篩選的，唔只呢三間。

esf 算好，學你話齋，有得讀 btec，都算係因才施教，有出路。
另外有一間，直頭講明話讀 ibdp  要經學校嚴格挑選，學校不被挑選就要走。
其實好多家長都知，因此都係好多人 year 10 就走/
呢間 ibdp 學生人數好少，比 year 11  少好多人，然後又有部份 ibdp 生係本地名校生入去讀
因為有這個篩選程序，因此多年來雖然只是二三線學校， ibdp 成績都唔差

任你點演繹 ：(1)  esf 篩選學生篩選得少，因此學生質素樣樣有；spcc 只選最 top  最 top  學生，梗係叻；(2) esf 教得唔好，spcc 教得好 (3) esf 篩選極，都唔夠 spcc 勁，國際學校又輸一仗 (4) 國際學校有教無類，本地學校只選叻學生教

還有好多原因，最緊要是 "自己" 點諗。
esf 和 spcc 各有捧場客，他們都有自己一套，亦會覺得 "自己" 學校更好。
其實唔係要比，係要講出正確資料，比大家參考，結論可以自己下。

問心嗰句，如果是本地家庭，又著重成績，又唔care間學校文化理念同子女夾唔夾，你們的子女有能力入spcc, esf, 你地會揀邊間？

我只是想跟樓主理清資料，我只想其他家長了解事實，大部份是有分流，亦是因材施教，然後作出選擇。樓主已接受我的建議，Done。

沒有必要爭論，只要明白選擇理據及後果就好！

At ESF it is not a simple "IB" or "non-IB" choice. It is based on the student's study interests and career plan really. Students who choose not to pursue a full IB Diploma can take a combination of BTEC and IB courses, which can help them gain a better chance to get into their desired faculties of universities or colleges. Of course we are not talking about medicine or law and this option is good for those who intend to develop a career in art, media, business, hotel management, design & technologies, fashion / textiles, etc. The BTEC courses do not require a "public exam" but they have continuous assessments and assignments that contribute to the final grades. Students will also develop their portfolio which is extremely useful for applications for study or jobs. Therefore we should not see it as something "easier" than IB Diploma but it is really offering a different study / career path for certain students.

Are the ESF students free to choose IB or BTEC without any pre-set criteria?

無論如何，ESF 收生準則，和本地名真資不同，ESF 由小學升上的，都是 non selective.

你很清楚 ESF， DBS 和 SPCC 的選 IB 學生準則嗎？請分享。
