Under HK or Chinese type of education, you might be able to create people that could afford to buy P ... I beg to disagree.
Since you mentioned Porsche, I guess you know Cayenne, Cayman, Boxer, and of course the Porsche 996 and 997. HK streets are choke full of them. Their exterior designer was none other than a HK guy. Google 'Pinky Lai' ( 賴平 ). Even though it may be argued that he got his design degree in Rome, he spent his first 20 years here in HK.
And he is not the only HK guy to have made it big in automobile design.
Anthony Lo, who took part in the design of Maybach (the ultra-luxurious division of Mercedes Benz) and successively becoming the Chief of Advanced Design General Motors Europe and Vice President, Exterior Design at Renault, leading Exterior, Advanced Architecture and Concept Car Design activities. He was named “Asian Designer of the Year” by Elle Magazine editors in 2007. Not bad for a HK boy who studied at DBS and HK Polytechnic University eh ?
There's a HK lady too but I forgot her name.
These are the inspiring stories I would like to tell my kids, instead of telling them they are doomed to be an intellectual & creativity midget just because of their race.
