Hi BB豬MUMMY, if I have to choose between Stafford and York, I will definitely choose Stafford - that's why I am thinking not to attend the interview at York this weekend. The reasons are that 1) I have a very clear target in mind for my son - to give him a good and native Eng environment - Stafford is definitely good in this area as compared with York. As I've mentioned in other threads, NET in York in subject teacher only, Chi is thier key teaching medium. Whereas Stafford has the NET as the class teacher. You have plenty of time to speaker with the NET on a school day!
2) I haven't attended (may give up) the interview with York yet. However, my feeling to the teachers of Stafford is really really fantastic. My son's interviewer were so nice and patient. She kept comfort me that "it doesn't matter if you son does not answer my questions. What we emphasis is your son's behaviour. We wont compare you son's ability with the big bb or how many questions that he is able to answer. What we are more concern is whether he is able to do what a 2-year-old boy can do - not to say that your boy is not even up to 2 years old!" I really feel that this school is fair to everyone of the applicant and the student!
Though it is a small school and less famous than York, I have an expectation that they might be able to give my son more cares than big and famous York. Thus I will definitely go for Stafford. |
