I feel puzzled that Chi. & Eng. Comp. Exam will not be issued. Any P1 students(AM) know the results now?

Is British Council's English Course Good? Any good institutions?

My daughter studies P1. I find that she likes this school very much.

I agree that the standard of English is a little bit higher than other schools. However, the difficulties are also aroused from the school. For example, you has no chance to see the exam. paper. The teacher will only give you back the listening workbook  at the end of the term  without marking.  Moreover, you doesn't know the progress of Oral communication and phonics. All these will affect the students 'English academic development.

其實大部份學校都唔會派番考試卷的，唔係只係我地學校咁做。 點解你覺得派唔派考試卷對學習成績有咁大影響呢？ 其實你係小朋友日常功課，quiz，堂課，測驗都應該略知他們的程度喇。

我好滿意呀女的成績呀，不是說她名列前茅，但是看到她從期中測驗的經驗及技巧作出了很名顯的進步，考試時的溫習亦是從容面對，全無壓力，替她感到很高興。 (反而作為父母，當時有些反應緊張呢)

老師說女兒很乖巧，有禮貌，我們很開心呢。

女兒的學習動力仍然很旺盛，這是我們覺得最重要的。

祝各位SH媽咪爹爹，女女及仔仔新年快樂，身體健康!!!!!!

Perhaps I am a primary-one parent. I want to know more about my daughter. That's why I want to take a look the exam. paper. On the other hand, I totally cannot understand why didn't the teacher mark the listening exercises, even one page. Even worse, the exercise book will only return to the students after exam.I don't know whether it is absence of duties, but I feel very strange. Moreover, the Oral  and phonics exercises, parents will not know the progress. And up to now, I only know that the exercises are kept in the school. I don't know whether it is marked or students ' progress.
After all, exam paper and exercises are the formal feedback/ follow-up of students' learning. However, one important point is that my daughter enjoys the school life and she also make a very great progress in many aspects.(sorry! I talk too much!)

My girl is studying in another Canossian primary, I know that exam papers will not be returned as the school need to keep for submission or examination by EMB.  But for other exercises, teachers will mark or ask the students to mark themselves and will return to students after marking, just like other homeworks.  So maybe you need to ask your girl's teacher to understand why they don't mark and given back.

It's great that your daughter enjoys the school life and has progress on her learning.  

My daughter's teacher would mark and give back the excercise books except those listening & phonics, perhaps they think it's not much the students (or parents) can do at home without the tapes.  Another reason is that the School aim at to reduce the load of the schoolbag, so they keep the books and only return it at the end of the term.

By the way, have you raised out the questions and problems that you have encountered during the parents' meeting before the holidays?

So long as I found my daughter had made progress in its English, I considered that whether the teacher had / had not given back the exercise books / marked exercises was not important. In fact, it can tell from the exam result (Eng paper marks) and your daily talks about school life with your kids  whether they learned the stuff or not.

On the other hand, parents are welcome to contact the teacher to know more about kids' progress. That's the class teacher told me when we met on the parents day to collect the result.

I think if parents have doubt, it would be more direct to ask the teacher so that you can see how to help the kids to improve.

請問聖心是否會培育他們表演呀 ?  是否英文school, all in English except Chinese lesson ?

聖心小學上午校係私立學校，下午校係津貼學校；兩間都是中英並重的小學。
學科方面以英語為教學語言的只有英文科及science科，其他都是以中文為主要教學語言。 英文科上，下午校都是比正常教高半級至一級的。

係咩, 我記得亞女一年級同二年級係4/6架喎   

但係我就無認真去計呀, 不過, 佢地考試無默書架喎, 全部都係計平時分, 我記得個女有一次病左, 默唔到中文, 於是, 我就問番班主任, 佢話病左果次就唔計落平均分度, 但係成績表出左黎, 中文默書個分同我自己計果個, 好似爭D, 等我得閑問下個班主任先。
