The demonstration show is very good. The teacher introduced different western and Chinese instruments to us. Will you let Heichit learn one of the  instruments?

如果無寫After School既話,即係在最尾一堂上(2:30-3:30)但有時會撞ECA堂,所以會俾你揀星期幾上。如果有寫After School好似Violin、Flute咁,應該就係3:30-4:30喇!

我個人認為視乎小朋友既性格,我兩個頑皮仔怕悶,如果有其他小朋友一齊學佢哋會好啲,而且仲可以比較一下其他既小朋友進度優點和缺點等,我兩個仔都唔衰得,所以會仲比心機啲添! 當然進度就無個別教授咁快喇!

仔仔學長號都頗貴,呢支長號你最Basic都要$4xxx,如果好啲既要$8xxx,但係佢話好鍾意!難得佢有興趣 。

其實都同其他既小學差唔多,我大仔試過喺舊校學既時候個亞 Sir no show,又唔通知,又唔補堂。而陳守仁的導師就有責任得多喇,到半個學期完咗之後就安排補堂

Hi Parents,

Time flies, we are almost at the end of the 2nd week. I went to the demonstration concert today. I guessed the students enjoyed the concert very much as they were singing, clapping and swaying thru out the concert. I must praise the teachers as they were all very tolerant. The kids were very excited and they were chit-chatting and making fun with each others. I could see the teachers hardly iterrupt them. It's only when some of them were becoming very noisy or disturbance then teachers would come close and ask them to lower their voice.

I asked my girl if she feels any different between her kindergarten and primary school life. Her answer is "its the same" except that she doesn't like to wake up so early (6:30) in the morining.

According to her, the luch boxes taste "super-duper" good. I think we will continue ordering the lunch boxes. Anyway, it saves me and my helper from a lots hustles.

My girl was assigned as class monitress for the first 2 weeks. Altogether there are 2 boys and 2 girls being assigned as class monitors and monitress. She said teachers will assigned somebody else after 2 weeks. It is good that everyone will get the chance to be the leader. Basically her job is to assist teachers and classmates eg. showing them the way to the toilet.

And there is a "naughty chair" in the classroom. Its for teachers to time-out those naughty ones. She did mention some teachers are a little bit "fierce". I asked her what did she think why the teachers were "fierce" ? She answered me that because some classmates were "naughty". So she gave me the answer already !!!!!!
And I didn't have to explaine again.

Basically she is having fun in school. I hope all of your kids do too. It just takes some time for them and for us parents to adjust. Like my little one, she went to bed at 8:30pm tonight. She said she really need to sleep early as she almost missed her school busd today.

My son want to choose "Sheng" because he said that the shape like a gun.
I remember one of the experienced mum's kid learns Sheng now. Can the experienced share whether :
- Sheng is suitable for P.1. ?
- what type of kid would be better? My son is a medium to small boy.
- is it not so common comparatively??

maryb: 經過調動後,囡囡現是二,四,五唔坐校車. 如見仔仔,麻煩提下佢上車前去廁所,thank you.  昨日同班主任傾仔仔表現, 話佢都乖但上堂兩頭另不專心, 食飯又慢過人, 放學就最醒神.  所以我都係要家校合作, 昨晚同仔仔傾, 佢主動說會努力以赴去改善自己的缺點, 見佢每日都開開心心地放學回到家裹, 又很喜歡自己的老師, 相信佢應該有能力調節自己去適應新環境.

Tingmum, 我仔仔的表現都係一樣，吾夠集中，起初因為坐得太後，睇吾到黑板，所以自己要求掉位，但後來我估佢可能畀miss 發現佢吾集中，或者可能有同隔籬位玩，所以又將佢掉去同女同學坐，咁就冇得玩喇。

Sorry, some more questions:
- my son also lost 1 front tooth and his teeth have a lot of big gap, is it OK to "blow" sheng?
- How much $$$ for a sheng??
- Should /Could we better to wait for half year or 1 year to apply for the musical instrument so that the kid is more familarized with each instrument and make a permanent choice as now his choice is quite impressive?

無問題..一定會remind 佢去洗手間...其實小朋友周圍望梗有...好奇心嘛....我阿仔見隔離小朋友盒飯好似好好味..都想試下訂飯...至於樂器方面...阿仔想選violin...但佢鋼琴都未攪掂...等佢學校上晒軌道....有空閑時間才考慮....另外,Ms Lau話十月頭下午兩點鬆d可以開始,時間喺1hr 30mins...

　　笙是我國古老的簧管樂器，歷史悠久，能奏和聲。它以簧、管配合振動發音，簧片能在簧框中自由振動，是世界上最早使用自由簧的樂器。
《詩經》的《小雅.鹿鳴》寫道：「我有嘉賓，鼓瑟吹笙。吹笙鼓簧，承筐是將」，可見笙在當時已經很流行了。

傳統的笙音域不廣，但已經能夠奏單音及同時奏數個和音，因獨奏時不夠音，多數只有伴奏，但現代經過改良後，音域廣了，已經有很多優美的獨奏曲了，而且好豐富地方及小數民族色彩。

但唯一擔心的是，小朋友太細，吾知夠吾夠氣，同時聲音宏亮，如果在家練習時可能太大聲。但件樂器體積吾算大，吾算重，帶返學校都OK.如果學大提琴就有點難度啦!

I may not join because my son has been learning piano.  I am afraid that he does not have time to practice, except that he shows great interest in any one of the intruments.  Also, learning this musical instrument is a long term goal, so I will discuss with Hei Chit over the weekend and decide if he joins or not.

For the photos, no need to give me $$$.  Don't be so 客氣.

Many thanks for this valuable info.

Let me answer you re Western Percussion (drum).

No need to buy set of drums.  Instead, you need to buy 2 drumsticks and a drum pad, ~$1xx.  Then later on you need to buy a xylophone.
There is a set of drumsticks + drum pad + xylophone + musical stand, cost ~$1xxx.  (lower digits).

Only need to bring drumsticks and drum pad back to school whenever there are lessons, no need to bring the xylophone.

IE Class Parent,
Saw "French] Dict next Fri. - Dict(1-1)  " in today E-class diary but not in his assignment book. Do you have the same?? My son has no idea to have French Dictation. Is it a mistake in E-class diary?
