my girl 3.5 yrs old, just started first class yesterday for Maths - level 1, she's so enjoy ...   p.s. she's going to start K1 this Sept.

Yesterday my son did the test and the teacher said he can start from level 10 (basic) and level 2 (critial thinking).  Actually my son is in K1 and the teacher said my son is their first student who can start from level 10 at age 4.  However, for critial thinking, still need time to learn and improve.

I join the centre in Kowloon Bay too - Tak fok building.
The tutor looks very nice and my daughter enjoy the assessment very much. I hope she enjoy the course too.
BTW, the tutor said it is a 45 mins lesson. Is it the same for all Enopi classes?

Hi ysnmama,

Thanks but his critial thinking is in level 2 only. I have no special methold but just want to share the following with you (真係沒有什麼特別):

Actually when he was a samll boy, I bought a poster with number from 1 to 100 (with English) and let him to read and count from time to time (but not pushing).  It will let him get a concept about numbers. Thus there is no problem for him to count from 1 to 100.

When he started to study in K1 (last September), I bought another poster about "加數" (e.g. 1+1=2, 1+2=3).  Of couse his daddy also taught him about the concept of "加數".  Recently, I bought another poster: one with with "減數" (e.g. 1-1=0, 2-1=1) and one with with 乘數表.  He is trying to remeber the 乘數表.  It is because there is a K3 girll takes the same schoo bus with my son everyday, and she always teachs my son maths and she is teaching him to 背乘數表 now.

Frankly speaking, my son do not have any concept about 乘數 and I think it is still too early to teach him (he cannot understand)  However, he feels it is very funny about 乘數表 and try to remember.  Now he can remember 50% of the table.  As both my husband and me think that it seems that he is good in Maths and I like the concept of E.nopi's Maths, I let him to learn from next month.

In my poinion,  post some posters at home is a good methold to teach kid (especially when they are young) no matter it is about English, Chinese or Maths.  But don't push them!

My centre is 1 hour.  $600 per month.  Usually 4 lessons but may has a chance with 5 lessons or 3 lessons. For example if my lesson is on Monday and there are total 5 Mondays in this month, total 5 lessons.  On the other hand, if there are only 3 Mondays (one Monday is public holiday), 3 lessons for this month.

妳仔仔好smart呀! 放心吧, 我相信佢即使critical thinking, 佢都可以升得好快, 不過我都覺得間centre 把妳仔仔critical thinking level set 低左(因同basic 個level 差太遠了, 而且確實不太難)。

我囡囡又係對乘數好有興趣, 幾個月前佢係我書枱見到個乘數表, 就問我係乜東東, 我當時根本冇諗住比佢背, 因為太細喇, 點知我只示範唸左1嘅乘數表, 佢覺得好得意, 當晚開始就叫我唸住乘數表"暗"佢瞓, 我口攰一停佢就問" 跟住呢", 第二晚個囡就叫我不如錄低佢播比佢聽, 我咪唔會攰囉, 又幾好喎! 我都估唔到佢咁有興趣, 如是者,  幾晚就o.k.了,背識之後, 緊係唔好浪費啦, 咪教埋佢concept囉, so far 佢都算明, 仲好喜歡列方程式。

我個囡讀果間就30mins to 1 hour 不等, 導師話要視乎小朋友坐得定唔定, so far 我個囡除左第一、二堂時間短d外, 都係1hour/lesson, 而不論是否public holidays, 佢都照常營業。

Hi everyone.  I live near Kowloon Station.  I have a 4 year old girl who is quite weak in Maths (she can "count" from 1-30 but cannot recognize individual numbers from 11 to 30).

I note from the enopi website that there's a private tutor living in Sorrento and a new enopi centre situated near the Olympic Station.  

Can anyone suggest which one is good?  Many many thanks.
