應該只有A level 才可以，所以人地話medi 收ALevel多過IB，理科尖子

Don't listen to rumours.. we have to read the figures...
For Medicine, it is not necessary to take "Phy Chem Bio".  
Chem HL together with other subjects with a total mark of high score is good enough.


In fact, some people said that it's unfair to take GCEA which is less demanding with fewer subjects and requirement.  I don't know the details so I dare not comment too much.

大學收生怎會不懂得看。
除了成績，課外活動也非常重要。


想入美國名牌大學，反而不是看IBDP最後總分。
美國大學會看你成長過程，由初中到取PG，你怎樣與眾不同，你為你喜愛學科或運動付出多少，你對將來有什麼抱負。而且，有関課外活動，當然不是簡簡單單就是。
譬如你是香港XX代表隊，你取一些世界級獎項，當然會加分。其他就看你怎演繹personal statement.
有些學生收美國名牌大學 unconditional offer, 已經不在乎你最後成績。


正如我提及，你想入英國牛劍經濟，必須修Maths HL.
反而，如果你入Law, 聞說大學會接受 Maths Studies.
但是，若多些同類學生給大學選擇的話，大學始終是最後決定收那一類學生。

至於對外間人，他們大部分不清楚細節。
我當然覺得不應該只看IBDP總分.

本地課程中三都有Physics.
今年入DSE IB的，居然有不少女孩子選Physics.
仲要見她們成績很好，難得難得。

我中六丶七也有修Physics, 高中真的不夠男孩子爭Physics 成績。

所以，DSE 數理強的男仔，必選Physics. 確保拿取5**。

如果take phy便會skip bio/chem嗎？但我又覺得bio/chem尤其bio是常識，一定要學, 可能我比較貪心。
我小朋友學校是F1開始分phy Chem bio, 考完IGCSE後到IBDP才skip其中一科，雖然然又有些家長會投訴辛苦。

基本嘅物理常識係一定要要識。

If the medical student is serious about pre-clinical science, they will encounter some physic phenomena.
Like fluid dynamic in blood circulation, air pressure in respiration, electricity in nerve impulse transmission.......... Just to name a few. This is already biophysics.


This is the foundation for their future study.

That's why I am so concern about what the students study before the IBDP.

如pre ib 那一年已選定ibdp那6科，相比GCSE and myp範圍就会窄了

My concern too, I heard engine students never took integration, radiotherapist students never took biology, medics never took physics nowadays. I am not sure if this is healthy.

如果講邏輯思維和全人發展，其實一定讀歷史。
中史、西史 缺一不可。外國大學都喜歡學生揀history.

其實呢一代，較好的local schools or international schools,

初中 Phy Chem Bio (Integrated Science) 的考試問題都頗深入和有趣。不是齋靠死記便可以取得高分。有些醫生爸爸說笑達大一程度。

中史丶西史 丶中英文學  全部有齊，我覺得佢哋識嘢多過我們嗰代更多。


我們A level 不用考中文，如果中四五一早入理科班，文學知識少之又少。

反而呢一代，我見他們中英文名著也看不少，我也自慚形穢。

我都覺得現在的學生好叻，所說的只是針對考試制度，不過說到底叻的學生在甚麼制度也會讀得好。
我們那個年代也有讀中西史eng lit, 我是理科但會考也有take中國文學

當然有啦。美國大學欣賞運動員。當然你要好出色的。考美國超級名牌大學，香港去的學生係比去英國更難。
因為不是斎看成績。在美國而言，IBDP 和 GCEA 科目也太少。
美國要求係好闊。所以，想去美國名牌大學的，一早過美國讀書較好。

美國更會睇埋父母來自邊間大學和科目，
有些真係要捐錢。所以，美國大學有好丶有唔好的地方。
看你運氣遇到什麼大學同學。

唔好咁多計算，為自己興趣丶理想 行先，有些事情自自然然會奔向你。

Debate 都有港隊，不單運動。

就算醫生，IB 45分都試過入不到，interview 實在太差。

所以，裝備好自己，一定是最好。
