Home Grown Athletes

Seems like DBS is just walking into a dead end street
Seems like DBS is just walking into a dead end street, because majority of the schools in Division 1 simply do not condone and approve poaching students just for the sake of winning a championship title.
DBS, maybe you should think 7th (not twice), because this is not the second time you have been reminded, once again!
Gratitude to our True Friends
As one of the Athletics Team coaches, I was overwhelmed by what I experienced last Friday. The sweet memories and glory did not only come from our own brothers, but also from those we might not know, and those who have been supporting us behind us.
Thank you Hoi Ping and Kwok Sir. You are our truest friend and we did not let you down this year. You have been watching us for many years, and quietly supporting our policy for using our home grown athletes to compete. You have excelled Hoi Ping and turned it into a revered athletics powerhouse with YOUR HOME GROWN ATHLETES. As much as you admire us, we also have a whole lot of respect for you and your athletes – Hoi Ping is a co-ed school with a significantly smaller student population and you don’t have your own track and field. For the years to come, we will remain keen opponents yet close supportive friends.
Thank you Wah Yan (Kowloon). When your athletes ran across us after the prize giving ceremony, they stopped in front of our boys and chanted "Congratulations La Salle! Good job La Salle!" We were really amazed and blessed. We truly appreciated your encouragement and accolades. Congratulations that despite injuries to your key team members, you guys will successfully remain in Division I next year, and we will have great moments to share again.
Thank you CHECSS and Chan Sir. Your words to me, as a teacher and educator, might appear trivial, but from the moment you told me "I really wish that you would win this year," your words had become my motivation, and a motivation I gave our team. We'll always treasure your support.
Thank you Chong Gene Hang, our sister school, as well as YCKMC, SJAC, KGV, MCS, and all those who cheered loudly and proudly for us when the overall champion was announced. We were filled with joy, but we could hear you.
Thanks for your recognition and acknowledgement of our hard work over the years, and above all, our persistence of using 100% LaSallians to compete.
Our education value will never change. I know you will also uphold the same value for our future generation.
See you all again next year, and let's work hard together BUILDING OUR OWN TEAMS and DEVELOPING OUR OWN STUDENTS into tomorrow’s real winners in life!
