1.健康院=免費, 私家醫生=要俾錢, 但你如果要去評估中心做評估, 就一定要有醫生轉介信(無論私家醫生或健康院醫生都可)

2.幼兒中心嘅兼收位並不是個別一間學校, 而係指現時嘅一啲幼兒中心, 佢地有參與兼收弱能兒童計劃(即學校會有兼收組老師), 咁佢地就會取錄一些有特殊需要嘅兒童, 這些兒童平時會同一般嘅兒童一齊上課及活動, 而每日會有30-40分鐘抽佢地出嚟, 做補充性小組訓練, 或每日10-20分鐘的額外個別輔助或特殊訓練(人手比例1:6), 使這些兒童經過訓練、教育及照顧, 日後有更大機會融入主流小學...
兼收位並不可自行報讀的, 而係經評估中心嘅醫務社工安排輪候的...

3.至於你話同其它小朋友有咩分別, 真係個個唔同喎, 相信你有睇過之各位mama之前所發表嘅, 你大概都會知...

其實睇完晒你所有嘅描述, 我個人認為你小朋友都唔似有問題喎...你小朋友最近幾大係健康院做過綜合測驗？結果如何？

when i point to the door whoever come back home (e.g yeh yeh), he will speak 'yeh yeh'.

Will your child look at the door and find out who's come back or just repeat what you said mechanically without looking at the door at all?

- 每當我聽到有key voice知道有人back home時, i will ask him"睇吓邊個返黎?" 跟住he will move his head and look at the door, then見到邊個就叫邊個(but淨係叫family, 其他人一律唔叫 except嗰個人响my home stay咗一輪, 咁教佢叫就會叫 (e.g. 叔叔).

If he can do this (the technical term for this behaviour is "joint attention"), then the chance of him as an autistic child is small. You also mentioned in your previous mail that he could initiate social contacts, though in a rather immature manner. These usually cannot be found in autistic child.

For me, purely from your description, I'll say your child is more likely to be a kid with speech delay and that could be a reason for his inappropriate social behaviour. Though his intellectual ability will also play a part in his problem. Again, you need a thorough evaluaton in order to rule out all possibilities.

But bear in mind my other professional colleagues use the term "autistic features" very much and don't be too surprise if you hear them mentioning it. Which might only mean poor social skills.

I once have a parent who was not told her child was described as having so-called "autistic features" until years later she asked for a detailed report. She was so shocked when she found the term as no one had ever told her so when her boy was young. It's a joke to me.

may be you can try try ask you son to say something before he can the things he want e.g. push car or give me car before he get the car.
This is very successful, I leanrt that from my speech therapist, Raymond Lee.
Mine has no words until he received speech therapy for one month. Now he can say full sentences and have alot of play skills.
if you need his help you can call him at 28827711, his centre is at Causeway Bay, i know he do a lot therapy for autistic , autstic tendency and langauge delayed children

Hi dear all parents,

I know that u must be very worried about ur kids' language development. Hope that I can help u with my expertise...
Yup...the method of Ninin is good indeed for those children lack of langugage stimulation before! Apart from eliciting the child's request with their favorite object e.g. car (as suggested by Ninin), I also suggest u parents to talk along side with simple words or sentences when the kid is playing, so called "parallel talk".
Play skills development is also very important..I suggest parents to choose some more interactive toys/games for the children apart from cars!
Not able to provide detailed and individual (good fit )suggestion for all the parents in this forum, just some general suggestion!

今朝入嚟見到你哋講起"stepping stone"呢間shop, 於是下午走去睇睇, 真係好多嘢賣喎, 但都幾貴吓, 所以唔敢亂買, 想問吓各位mama, 有咩好介紹會比較適合我個仔訓練/玩呢？thx~
hehee...我仲走埋上6/F果間shop(專賣party用品的), 但女仔嘢較多, 不過啲床仔呀、柜呀、衫裙呀、精品呀.......真係好靚呀....

Stepping Stones 標榜佢地賣的係益智玩具, 但我依家發現到好多玩具舖, 好似反斗城甘都多左不同的益智教育玩具.

我就話近者, 如果特登過海黎, 我又覺得無甘的必要law.

同埋stepping stones d 野都幾貴, 但有時做promotion又幾平, 佢地依家做緊某隻牌子的野買3送1, 不記得個牌子mug野名啦, 但係係d畫畫呀, 手工甘的野.

但佢都平過widekids(不知有無串錯個名呢), 我試過買一份fisher price的野, 居然貴左80元.

我都認同, 其實有好多地方都有益智玩具賣. 只在乎你有無時間周圍找. 灣仔街市附近原來都有正貨, 多得陸美媽帶路去, 我先知.

之前係Stepping Stones買左啲木製ABC併圖, 諗住有趣啲, 仔仔會有興趣啲學. 點知end up佢最鍾意玩既係~灣仔文具鋪買到$20膠製既abc併圖. 早知買$20份就得啦, 唉...晒錢.

WiseKids應該係貴過Stepping Stones.
話晒WiseKids係街鋪, 而Stepping Stones係樓上鋪, 所以都唔出奇.
