I ask my son "Did your teacher teach you to sing a spiderman song yesterday?"

He is so surprise that "Ar yes! how do you know mum?"

"Haha, because I am your mum and there is some spies in the school ma, ha ha!" I said.

My daughter is no. 17. Oh yes, she told me yesterday that the net teacher sang the itcy spider song in class. She really enjoyed the school life and she also likes Miss Ho cause she was given many stickers, cards and stamps. My daughter thinks she is one of the supergirls in class....hahaha.

Yes my son also said Miss Ho is a nice teacher and teach them many things.  

Beside, Keefe has lost his sticker card yesterday and Miss Ho give him another one.  It's made him happy but feel embarrassed.

He said it's lost at home, so the new sticker card he will keep in his class. hahahhaha...

Hi all,

After talking with my son and my husband on last night for the activity course, but all are request after school, as your comments haven't nanny bus to pick up if join, then .... only giveup la.

I also will reflect it to Keefe's class teacher on the coming parents' day.  I heard from my friend, her school (HK side) also have Kln side school bus in this year.  Hope RC can consider it to made us more convenient.

Today I am talking with one P.3 student, who live with us as the same buliday.  He is a good boy and very polite, especial answer to my question (Auntie ar ma) EEEEE.

I believe, RC can teach our kids to be a good moral conduct and independent study.

May I share your information regarding this school.  My son is now studying at K3 and I want to collect more information about this school because I also want to let my son to try to get in RC.  I notice from this topic that most of the kids are enjoying to study in RC.  May I ask a few questions as follows:

1.  Is this school push their students too much?
2.  How many homeworks do they have?
3.  Have dictations every week?

As this is a whole day school, I am also worry that my son will feel sleepy after lunch in school because he usually needs to take a nap in the afternoon.  

Really sorry to ask too many questions.

Hi yeesumyin,

I am pleased to share more regarding of RC.  Pls find the comments as the below and keep share.  

1.  Is this school push their students too much?  My son has re-open to school on 2 Sep, starting his homework from this week.  It's like revision sheets only.

2.  How many homeworks do they have?
Now, 4 worksheets (2-sided) only.

3.  Have dictations every week?
Yes.

4. Afternoon nap?
Re my son haven't afternoon nap when he was K2.  So he is okay for whole day class, now he go to sleep at 9:30pm and wake up at 6:30am.

If possible please try to adjust your son afternoon nap as less as possible in this K3.  I guess many school also to be whole day class.

Many thanks for your valuable information.  It is really makes me feel headache for choosing a suitable school for my son, may be I have too many concerns.  I feel that it is not too many good choices for boys in HK side.  Truly speaking I am only let my son to try RC and St. Paul Boys, otherwise to join lucky draw.   Anyway, what I need to do at this stage is to adjust his afternoon nap :)

Regarding the activities course, I have submitted the 'scientist convention' only. My daughter wants to attend the swimming course but the class is scheduled on sunday. We haven't decide yet.

Actually we have 2 courses want to apply but.... the pick up problem to block us to made any decision.

I am a parent of a RC P.2 student.
From our experience last year, the transition period arrangement for P.1 was very good.
In the first month, students felt like staying in kindergarten with very few homeworks (activities sheets only). The real primary school life began in October and I did not feel any pressure from school throughout the year.

Homework was not much.  Some students could finish all homework at school but some students would only start to do homework when their parents gone back home after work.
I think this happens in all schools.

Number of dictation for both Chinese and English were just 3 to 4 times per term, but there were a lot of assessments during each term.
The purpose of the assessments is to keep student do the revision. Marks are not counted to the school report.
I remember there was once that my son had to take either assessment or diction on almost every day in a week.
I still thought that was fine since only a few chapters needed to be revised for each assessment.
