Dear gordon , gwan,

We didn't expect that no. of applicants as well.  I guess the school fees plus the Principal's name(like a company 's CEO) together are very attractive elements for us to apply.  However, I have a puzzle here is that since it is a Chinese Primary school, how is their english standard?  Do they use all Chinese textbook except english?  Since Ying Wa College is an english school, how do they merge well?

I guess you didn't go for the briefing session.

The reputation of the school and the principal are really a concern for me of choosing this school. The adoption of through-train mode is also important. Besides, their curriculum design and teachers quality/qualification are another concerns when choosing a school. Having analyzed the above reasons, I am quiet satisfied with this school. But the most important thing is my son likes this school very much and are quiet keen to study in here.

I agree with you.  Some experienced teachers told me that most of the DSS schools usually exaggerated their no. of application, so as to increase their competition ability in the market.  

My friend submitted appllication to Ying Wa on 13.9.2007, and the reference no. was just 900.  How could it turn out to be 1700 within days.  

Anyway, the competition in Ying Wa is keen at this stage (even not up to 1700 applications), I guess because: school principal's reputation, school fee not expensive, through-train,..... etc.  

My son had attended 1st and 2nd interviews already, but I don't expect too much, due to keen competition.  I just hope that he could be on the waiting list at least, so that he has high chance for 'locking door' in future.

I submitted the application at 15th Sep. 07m (3:45pm).  they gave me the no. of 17xx. I felt very surprise at that moment. Anyway, we have acknowledged to attend the Sat. and Thursday interview.   good luck to all

Just received my fd's news,  my fd's fd is working in YW.  She told me that the 1st group interview in last week have a big chance to go to 3rd round.  Because the YW found candidates who have his a cup of tea, then give them a letter for last week interview.  The 2nd and 3rd group => chance is a little bit.

這個可能真係無乜可能 (你唔好介意!) 是真的, 我們上星期有得in的小朋友, 很多都是跟日子排來in, 順著次序,

例如:
9月7日交表的 : 會是17.09.07
9月8日交表的 : 會是18.09.07
9月9日交表的 : 會是19.09.07

我有兩個朋友, 她們是同事來的, 一個交兩份表, 因為另一個唔得閒, 咁兩份一齊交, 連no都順著來, 到上星期in 校長編埋同一group, 跟住group interview見老師, 又編埋同一組, 所以, 我估你講的, 機會真是很低的!
