They are only K3, if you worry their dictation by now, what will happen when they are in P.1 up and the dictation will become more and more serious?  Actually, the English dictation is only for a few words each time, and the words are what they have been writing in that week or last week.  So, don't worry, not that difficult.  The point is to help them to get used to how dictation is, if they can't have 100 marks everytime, it is not really a big problem.  Just keep encourage them and tell them that they can do it and if not OK this time, try a bit harder next time.

The first thing you should ask them to spell is their full name in English and write it properly.

其實我嘅意思係想請教吓大家有咩好方法幫小朋友記誦英文生字,等我可以參考吓?

其實要記英文串字, 方法應該都是拆字及讀音, 所以現在流行Phonics.

similar case with you, very funny.  Sometimes she only list 30-50% from the teacher.  Then she will ask me to call the teacher for confirmation at night.

我呀女要帯的是黃金糕! 我問呀女咩係黃金糕??? 係咪即係馬蹄糕?佢完全唔識答,我走訪了多間食品店;有些賣的叫黃金南瓜糕,有的叫黃金馬蹄糕,又有些什麼金泊年糕等等...各式其式 終於都係要打電話返學校問老師咎竟係咩嘢糕,然後答電話的老師說那個黃金糕只在聖安娜有得買! 唯有死死地再去附近的聖安娜分店訂購...

請問各位家長我囡囡現在K2,若我有25分,選St Mary小學或天神家勒撒或聖羅撒小學好呢? 如果選St Mary小學或天神家勒撒是否一定直上St Mary中學呢? 怎樣為之一條龍呀?

You can't have 25 marks for all these 3 schools.  It is impossible.  Please re-check your marks.

St. Mary Primary & Holy Family are one dragon to St. Mary Secondary, so if your girl can enter anyone of these 2, she will go directly to St. Mary Secondary.  The problem is St. Mary is so famous that, you will need to have 25 marks in the 1st round, otherwise, you will need to lucky draw with those 20 marks. If 15 marks only... seems no chance so far.  For St. Rose, 20 marks will get the seat and 15 marks can have a chance for lucky draw in 1st round.

You need to check your marks and then think if you want to play in risk or play in safe in the 1st round.

They will start their holiday from 2/16, unless you can have the goods on 2/15 morning and give to 彤彤 on 2/15.  Therefore, I will suggest we either collect the goods on 3/3 or we should arrange a gathering during the Chinese New Year holiday.

Oh sorry... I actually got 20 marks and I got the address in TST or Whampoo Garden as well.  
Does it help??  Can I get the seat in St Mary or Holy Angels in the 1st round??  Please advise.

As I mentioned, you may need to lucky draw in the 1st round for St. Mary, not sure about Holy Family because it is now one-dragon with St. Mary, a lot of parents choose it now.  However, you can give it a try if this is your target school, may be you will be lucky to get a seat in 1st round.  If not, if you have the TST address, you can try it again in the 2nd round.  

Again, the choice among St. Mary, Holy Family & St. Rose is the decision about how you want to play the game and your determination on St. Mary.
