以我所知大部份家長及學生就覺得一點壓力也沒有，功課每天也可在十五至三十分鐘便能完成，如有默書或小測便在前幾天開始，每天大約用十五分鐘温書。小兒有些同學每天放學回家還上興趣班，參加公開表演等，學生有很多空餘時間發展自己其他興趣。
至於英文科，學校會派一些故事書給學生回家看，大約數天至一星期會看一本。

家庭背景好當然重要，但都要小朋友在第一次面試時表現好，父母才有第二次面試的機會，到時才能對校長表達你的誠意，我有朋友是醫生、律師，也在07-08給拒絕了。

I heard that there is one 精英班 in 浸小 & the children need to do homework until midnight, is that the case?  To my understanding of 浸小 "teaching theory/concept", I don't think this is true.

多謝提醒. 所以身為家長需要有多方面準備. 我相信即使拒絕亦不我們的小朋友比不上其他小朋友. 說不定是浸小的損失呢?

我仔仔今年考入了07-08年度,有一點可提提, 如以今屆的面試模式, 如小朋友有特別項目做天才表演是最多可加10分的, 但學校在週一才寄出在週六面試加表演, 故有防止臨急才練的效果, 一般是表演學開的東西, 我認為這是我仔仔入選之原因.

其實西貢近馬鞍山的幾條村已被劃分屬沙田區, 我不明你所講:"...住馬鞍山但分區上是屬於西貢...", 或者你查教署校綱分區圖睇睇.
聽別人講過報每間學校的申報地址都可以唔同, 因為最終你只可入讀一間.

Hi!abc111,

There is one library lesson per cycle(6 days/cycle). In English lesson, the teacher will distribute a reading book to every student. There are  series of different standard's reading books. They will be given according to the student's standard. The book will be usually kept by the student for 2-3 days. Usually, the students need to do excercises/reports about the reading books either at school or at home.

In Chinese, there is no reading book provided. However, the students need to choose their own story-books and do the  book reports every month since December.

There is'nt any school day on Saturday. The school use the cycle system for the school calander. I think that it is a good system to avoid the students not to skip some lesson which may fall on public holidays(weekdays).

Hello, all BU parents,

Haven't chatted here for a long time as really busy at work.  But, doesn't matter, just has some time now, & would like to share w/all parents, in fact, i am really quite appreciated that.

On the day that we went back to school to pick up the school report, after having a chat with class teacher, ms Lam, we have been allocated to meet with principal.  (even Ms Lam is not aware of that), but out of my surprise, Principal spent around 10-15 mins with us to get some solid advice from us, like the kids's learning trend, happy or unhappy in school, how's the teacher behaves, school environ, OLE arrangement, teaching atmospher.... etc etc.. to me, i feel it is really good.  this is a kind of channel that school wl listen from the parent side.  I am not sure who else is picked by the principal, but i enjoyed talking with them.

The mode of test is not too special. For the first term, there are tests for Chinese, English and Mathematics. The school uses the continuous assessments for the other subjects.

For Chinese, the test included 閱讀理解、填充、造句、標點符號、部件和仿作句子。

For English, it was a journal writing.

For Mathematics, it was similar to the worksheets which the students done.

The 2nd test will be at the end of the 2nd term(before Easter Holidays).

各位未來浸小的家長：
時間過得很快，你們的小朋友快將成為浸小的學生，大家的心情可能還很不安，因為大家對學校的運作還不太認識，不知浸小是否適合自己的小朋友，但我可以在這裡說，直到現在，我和我的小朋友都很喜歡浸小。
最近，女兒的其中一位班主任轉了，加上她在學校裏遇到一些不快的事情，上堂時會哭泣，班主任立刻將她的問題轉介給駐校的心理學家跟進，我真的很多謝他們的幫忙，女兒在心理學家孫先生的幫助下，巳有改善。相信並不是每一所學校都有這樣的資源去協助小朋友解決他們的心理問題，要是女兒的問題發生在其他學校，相信只會被視為一位麻煩學生。
在學習上，女兒的普通話真的進步了不少，她會主動用普通話對答，這完全是因為學校提供了一個學習普通話的好環境，加上老師的悉心教導。
學校提供了多種不同類型的課外活動，真的可以從中發掘了他們的興趣和潛能，這真是值得一讚的。

妳好，小女都是07小一新生，相信現就讀或將就讀的學生家長都很關心學校的發展，畢竟這所都是新校，所以在各方面我們這些新生家長都很難得到更多資訊。

本人對學校的管理層都很有信心，每位的資歷和份量都不用懷疑，但學校最前綫和與小朋友接觸最多的老師，我們實在所知不多，我們幾次到學校interview(因我們是waiting list，所以女兒見了兩次，家長也見了兩次，一共見了四次

   )所看見的老師都很年青，不過就沒有機會接觸和談話；而帶我們參觀班房的職員說其中一位老師請了病假，所以學生都到了圖書館，之前也在此topic欄內看過老師請假而小朋友在班房無人理的情况。而這次看見KristieMom女兒的班主任更是轉了(不知是離職還是教別班？)，我相信其實學生和老師，甚至家長都需要一個適應期，而小一生在這段期間面對太多的轉變(不同面孔，不同標準的老師)是否影响最大呢！

知道學校已派發學期報告及接見家長，想知多些各位對學校老師的觀感，也想知自己對老師的觀察是否有偏差或是過於疑慮呢？

Very important Primary school REALLY need students learn satify and LOVE THE SCHOOL.

不知浸中會否也有這些問題？

不知浸小的老師流動是否很大？小朋友的學習是否受影响？

各位未來浸小的家長:
你們好!大家千萬不要誤會，女兒的舊班主任不是離職了，她現在還是女兒的數學老師，因為中學部校舍接收了，她要負責中學部的IT發展，所以沒有足夠時間處理班裏的事務，所以才轉換了另一位班主任。
直到現在，除了圖書課轉了老師外（她現任的班主任），其餘的都沒有轉變，每次和女兒提及她的老師時，她都會微微笑，並告訴我她很喜歡所有老師。
至於在初中教育版－直資學校的老師流動大，相信是因為老師的工作巳不是鐡飯碗了，學校對老師的要求也提高了，要是學校發現老師根本不適合做老師，相信學校就要他請辭，免得害了下一代。還記得自己的中學化學老師祇會照著本書讀，根本就不懂教書，我們全班同學都很討厭他，奈何他沒有犯大錯，傳統的津貼學校一定不會開除他，所以直到今日，他就一直繼續害人子弟。現今的學校，其實還存在無數的不負責任的老師。
