I planned to take Preston to Japn during Easter holidays. However, I keep asking him if he wants ot fly on an aeroplane or not (actually he did when he was 16 months old and we went to Canada), he said he wants to take the bus first and no aeroplane. So for a few months, his answer is consistent, so I think I won't take a risk in case he does not want to get on a plane. He has very strong mind and difficult to change his mind (difficult to teach). Therefore, I will not go on trip until he listens.
Most art class accept kids at 4 years old. I'm thinking about some music class. Have you heard of 'music farm', is it good?

I see.  So, better plan more outdoor activities during Easter.

As for 'music farm', is it the one of Albert Au ?  I know that they offer quite many kinds of courses.  I think that should be okay (I've viewed the comments about music farm some time ago).  I know that there are some other alternatives.  Let me check it out & share with you & Doris later.

I planned to bring Brian to USA for about two weeks this summer holiday.  Brian has not been on the plane before so we worried much about whether he can stay in the plane for over 10 hours.

For 'Music Farm'.  I found that most of the courses are for kids of age from three.  Brian is still too small to join the courses.  I am thinking of the Kindermusik course in LH.  Brian joined long ago but he was too small to participate at that time.  However, he performed well in the introductory session on the Open Day.  Miss Amy Cheng is a very good teacher and she loves kids much.  Will consider joining the coming set of lessons.

i cannot imagine how kid will behave when he's stucked in the plane for half a day & the jetlag.  if you really want to bring Brian for a long trip, plan well before.

music course is good for kid's development.  btw, i've joined the playtots of YMCA (lesson every Sat) before nursery & i do think that their courses are quite good.

bad thing is that if you want to ensure your place in the course, you may have to queue up for registration on a specified date every quarter.

I don't think I'll take Preston for long trip, can't imagine if he is grumpy and crazy on the plane, even a few hours to Japan I'm hesitate. Preston is more stuborn and basically it's not easy to calm him down sometimes.

I went for the story mother yesterday. It's Ok  and they loved to listen and everyone (almost) paid attention to me. However, after I finished reading the book, there was a minute of silence. I did not know what to say and thought the teachers would take over the situation. After the awkward moment, Mis angelika asked the kids to clap hands and that's better. Preston sat in the front row and kept smiling, he was so happy that I went ot school with him. He asked me again this am which book to read.

Glad to know that the story mother time is good.  Mine will be on 10 April.

About the long trip.  I planned to bring Brian to USA this summer, simply because my parents-in-law are in USA and my husband will probably in USA at that period of time.  I believe that 10 hours will be too long for kids of three years old and once he has adapted to jet-lag, he will have to fly again.  :(

BTW,do your kids still wear nappy at night? I want to train Preston, any good way?

My boy still wears nappy at night.  By the next morning, it's wet.  And, sometimes his pyjama has got wet as well.  He urinated a lot during sleep.  So, I have no plan to let him get rid of nappy at night.  It's a huge step, I think.  I'm also interested to know about the experience of the other moms.

Lydia, so do you really buy a book to share with the kids ?  It's not that easy to get one big book.

I just took a book that the kids might be interested from home. You can ask your son to pick one for you.

Doris, Lydia, my son has fully recovered from coughing.  My mother & mother-in-law cooked some kind of soup for him & it was good.  I remember one is to cook with crocodile meat & 川貝.  You may try this next time.

Brian also wears nappy at night.  There is about 1/2 chance that he will wet his nappy in the morning.  Sometimes, I give him milk earlier before he goes to bed, so he can urinate once more before going to bed.  Then, his nappy will be dry in the morning (but not always).  I think they still need some time to control the small pieces of muscles.

Do you know if any other kids stay in the same school for Kinder ?

I have talked to a few parents of PNB.  As far as I know, most of their kids will stay for Kinder.

the situation of PNA is a bit different.  one of the best friend of my son will go to SC.  and, i know quite some parents are waiting for the news from the kinders in kln tong.  they haven't yet made up their minds.

I know a friend's son who lives in our estate will go to SC too. Her son is PNA, maybe they know each other.

How's Brian attending Heep Hong class, is the teacher OK? Preston is attending the group class and he enjoys it coz there are a lot of treats if they peform well. He performs better when he's not with us and follows the rules well. So strange that he acts differently when we are there.

I will not consider any other schools in Kowloon Tong.  Brian is doing fine in LH and he likes this place.  Actually, I didn't apply for other schools for Brian.

Brian attended the training in the past two Sat.  On the first day, the instructor made a simple assessment on him and she said Brian is weak in paying attention.  The actual training started last Sat.  It could only last for about 30 minutes as Brian started to lose interest very soon.  Basically, Brian likes the instructor.  I hope he can perform better soon.  Anyway, Pak Tin is too far to me and it can't be reach directly.  Am I right that Preston attends the centre there?  Do you think it's good?  I am thinking of letting Brian join the training in weekday afternoons if Nam Cheong is available.

Nice to meet you.  My son is in PNB.  He will study the am session in K1 in coming August.

Preston is attending Nam Cheong centre and we usually take the taxi and bus back as Preston always requests to take a bus. Do you have toys to bring home every week? Preston does not really like to attend in the beginning but after a few classes, he could sit for almost the whole hour (of couse the teacher gave a lot of treats as rewards). One thing is that I save $ to buy new toys for almost a year. How often do you go? We used to go every other Sat only.
