不是所有LS IB school 讀六科 - 有學校是讀中英數+ 4  ...

我朋友嗰間有選6料，呢個就係問題，無監管，做法不一，好的如 UWC 的 FIB 就非常廣闊及 consistent with IB.

Of course, founder of UWC also was one of IB founders.That is why I think that UWC has implemented and adhered to the spirit of IB fully and faithfully among all others IB schools in the world.

你誤會了，LS IB streams 「無」比lS讀多一年考lB。

你覺得應該F4一樣去讀10科，考埋IGCSE先係合理？對同學成長更加有益？

中四  有 PE, Music , Religious Studies , Experiential Learning , Independent Learning and Thinking , 中英數，加三科 （兩文一理 或 兩理一文）, 有音樂，有additional Language

我已經說明學校有以上科目，你仍然不斷說只有六科。
新校長話出年IB再加長音樂和PE時間。
老老實實，不是每個學生喜歡。

中一至中三，未計PE, 藝術，音樂，其他科目至少有十科。
而且，不應單計科目數量之多，課程內容之廣也每間學校不同。

為何不斷說人家怪或擔心有些知識貧乏呢？

我們也從來不會問為何沒有學習中國文學和中國歷史呢？

我們從來也不會質疑人家少讀些什麼什麼。

如果你用科目數量去衡量，也未免太狹窄。

IGCSE 有些學校也只有八科（可能有些更少），有些自己報到十二科。
有些人又話中文或某些語文實在太淺。

一般香港國際學校，英國學制，到 year 10 and 11 會正式讀 IGCSE 課程，一般 10+科目，公開試考驗下學生，好多好處。

我們也樂於見到香港百花齊放。

我的孩子讀過國際學校丶也讀過其他本地學校，
我是十分欣賞SPCC課程，各方面也很滿意。
學術之外，她變得勇於參加不同種類活動。
朋輩正面影響，大家互相扶持，大家一齊參與不同種類的活動。
這些都令我好滿意。

我對 SPCC 也甚有好感，係少數我欣賞的本地學校。 我女兒的朋友中不少SPcc生，也好叻仔叻女。

請不要誤會，我沒有根本性的敵視。

我和另一網友也舉了例子LS 的IB pre IB 那年並非只選六科， 如果只是你朋友那家是選六科的話， 你評價的怪可否之針對你見到的例子，不宜以偏概全。

我只係批評選科唔夠闊，太專注太目標為本的F4，同埋這年無乜標準，課程有好有差，水準不一。

應該只有A level 才可以，所以人地話medi 收ALevel多過IB，理科尖子

I took Applied Maths and Pure Maths in my F6 and F7.  I dropped Applied Maths afterwards. It is not ok to take "Phy Chem Bio"  according to IBDP.  For more details, you should read IBO.org website.  The curriculum is made up of the DP core and six subjects group.  

Mathematics
==========
It is a must to take at least one course in mathematics.
-Maths Studies SL
-Maths SL
-Maths HL
-Further Maths HL

(If you would take Economics in UK uni, it is a must to take Maths HL. Most of students would take Maths SL if Maths HL is not the requirement of their target subjects in Uni.)

"Calculus" is considered by many as being one the harder chapters of the IB SL Maths curriculum.

If you like Calculus, Maths HL may suit you.
The recommended teaching hours in "Calculus" is 48 hours, which is the longest one amongst the rest topics like Algebra, Functions and equations, Circular functions and trigonometry, Vectors, Statistics and probability.

阿女話修IB Music的人都要上音樂喎。但是, 中五無論 DSE or IB, 每班都要搞一個好大型嘅class performance.
我見佢哋又作曲又作詞又排舞又拍片，
其實已經佔去好多時間。
仲要參加CAS 和義工，本身又要做clubs chairman/committee,
真係唔覺得需要再加長音樂和體育的時間。

我本身泳隊，反而阿女唔係，她不喜歡練水。
暑假一齊去游泳，她居然表演蝶式我看。
我很驚訝。原來中四PE堂教。
今個暑假我見她每天去做gym。
兼且，學校有個傳統，每年都要同學仔一齊排舞，學一個新嘅舞蹈。
所以，我覺得唔需要再加長時間。始終中五應該會幾忙。

Thanks for your explanation, 這個問題其實我也問過某IS的IB coordinator ，他輕輕帶一句你也可以drop一科liberal arts去take phy chem bio，相信不多人會這樣做，應該大部分人只會take兩科Science。

HKCEE A Maths 是 Additional Maths
這個 IB Maths SL 有 包括在內。

所以，很多人 不贊成選  IB Maths “Studies” .

多了 “Studies” 一個字 淺很多的。

其實IB就算within 同一科都有不同程度，如果D人揀晒D淺程度，便會容易拿高分？如何公平比較？大學D人識睇個result嗎？定只懂看總分？
