課外活動之後的確冇校車接送既,個個都係自己安排人手接放學既啦,亦都有D人真係因為咁而唔參加.不過亦有D課外活動係響星期六既,都可以考慮參加果D囉.

正是由於這點考慮, 加上:
1. 作為細B的妹妹, 始終未能獲鄰近幼稚園取錄, 亦即要預備人手湊乘校車.
2. 以孩子平日經常在各大小場合嚇親人的表現(註), 考八間直資/私校都還是連番敗北, 最後只可以憑一本高小程度的三國演義故事選和一個"裏面點可以裝咁多野架?"(面試時林校長語)的小腦袋而獲英華垂青, 令謙爸謙媽對於三年後為妹妹再戰沙場十分氣餒.

所以, 小謙爸媽於限期前向英華註冊後, 經農曆年假期間再三考慮和分析, 最後還是通知學校取消註冊, 讓孩子就讀區內首輪計分派位的男女校小學.  

註: 小謙最近一次嚇親的, 是健康院裏頭為他打流感針的醫生. 打針前小謙對醫生說, "你唔好同我打Potassium Chloride 呀!" 醫生楞了一楞, 問 "點解呀?" 小謙說:"o係 U.S., D 人會同D死囚打Potassium Chloride 架". 醫生為他打完針解釋說:"係要停止佢地o既心跳丫嘛." 小謙笑著向他扮了個鬼臉.

Based on your remark and the fact that your kid can read "3 kingdom" it is obvious that your kid is a very smart kid, may be a bit too mature?  Failure in the other interviews may due to a lot other reasons and a good primary may help you a lot in educating your kid to be a even better one?   To give up a good primary just to secure a seat for the sister does not seems worthwhile to me.  With the experience of the brother may be the sister will do a lot better at the interview in 3 years time?

請問YW閱讀氣氛是如何呢?我睇見其他topic講閱讀氣氛環境時,有d學校是很著重,睇番關於YW既topic都無嘜提過閱讀這方面,衹聽過在運動及音樂多一d,其實養成閱讀習慣都是十分重要。

One of the major parts in the interview process is for the kids to bring a book and read to the Principal.  And reading books has been emphasised by the Principal many many times.  So you can imagine the YW students will already be very good readers.

I just wonder whether a school that does not advocate reading would test a child's reading in its interview.  The casual relationship may not be evident, but to some extent it reflects the school's emphasis on reading, either for acquiring other knowledge or on its own.

我看完你的post, 你地最後放棄英華, 有點點可惜呢.  照看你的仔仔都是一個好smart 的人, 記到一本咁既level 書的內容, 與醫生的談話內容也很抵死, 佢的反應唔差喎, 仲有好見識.  有無諗過3年後的妹妹未必好似你地想象中咁差呢.

派位學校未必唔好。既然係你第一輪的計分學校，應該都係好學校。我都係一仔一女，好明白你的決定。自己當然會清楚自己子女的能力。但講到尾，面試始終有運氣因素，所以如果派位校不差，我都會有你同樣的決定。

My elder son is studying in YW P2, who had read 16 books (Chinese and English) within the CNY holiday, it was due to the reading plan from school.
Do U think it is enough?
