Wanna to ask how to take the child to SPCC.


If get down at first bus stop after Aberdeen tunnel and walk there (to me it is near), is it too much for the child?

So if take taxi, where should I take? At the bus-stop? Will I get scolded by the taxi driver?

I live in Kowloon side.

It will take about 10-15 minutes to walk there, and most parts of the route have no shades or cover.  If your time slot is early afternoon and the weather is sunny and hot, your child may be soaked when he/she reaches the school.  The distance itself is not a problem as there is no steep slope or muddy path along the way.

The said bus stop is a prohibited area so taxis cannot stop there.  If you want to take a taxi, leave the bus on the 3rd stop after the Aberdeen tunnel, near the Aberdeen Sports Ground.  Cross the main road (Wong Chuk Hang Road) to the other direction and you can catch a taxi there - this can avoid going around a big circle before getting back on the route.  This will be the shortest and most direct route.

In any case, don't worry about being scolded by a taxi driver for a short trip.  It is your right and you should tell him so on the spot and record his details on the driver's permit if necessary.  As long as he takes you there, just let his words come in the left ear and leave from the right ear. :)

CORRECTION:

Due to misunderstanding of a friend's info, the allocation of interview date and time for the non-related, non-Christian group seem to be based on date and time of application form submission.  She submitted the form on 6/9 am instead of 8/9 as I thought and will be reviewed on 5/10 (Tue).

SPCC sends out interview letters gradually, not too many at a time.  Maybe it will be the turn of those who submitted the application forms on 8/9 to receive interview letters early next week.

Should be around $60-70.

By the way, if one is taking a taxi in Causeway Bay, I will strongly recommend catching a taxi in front of Causeway Bay Plaza Phase 2 (across Percival Street from Causeway Bay MTR Exit B).  The taxi can turn right to Percival Street and then head directly to the Aberdeen Tunnel.

除非係早，如果唔係，波斯富街 真係千祈唔好制；因為人多、車多、電車多，人車爭路超塞車，超多車會經 波斯富街，去到 利舞台 轉右入 時代廣場，所以日間大部份時間，汽車嘅響"安"聲會響個不停，噪音的確令人煩擾 !!

如果怕 時代廣場 要等的士或塞車，可考慮行去 禮頓中心 對面(禮頓道)截的士；因為中午過後，銅鑼灣大部份地區都塞車，好多時行路會快過搭車 !!

Btw，I live in CWB !!

我上次搭的士去 spcc 係係灣仔莊士敦道 (灣仔 mtr A3 出口) 上車，連 tunnel toll 係 $70.

Last week, we take taxi at Paterson Street (exit E) and taxi driver takes the route through Happy Valley - Stubbs Rd -> Deep Water Bay Rd -> Nam Fung Rd

It costs $65 tax fee for about 15 mins

禮頓中心截的士係唔錯，不過由港鐵站就要行遠少少，如果有卅幾度都會幾熱。

如果唔係撞正返工繁忙時間(相信你係，因為你考慮搭巴士)，可以考慮：

1. Causeway Bay MTR Exit A 行去時代廣場的士站，雖然都係要行，但係有冷氣，唔會好熱，而且多數係的士等人；或者
2. o係銅鑼灣廣場二期上的士，如果波斯富街塞車就改為直去駱克道，後左轉入景隆街再出番告士打道，然後經堅拿道天橋直入香港仔隧道。

我都住左銅鑼灣廿幾年。:)

A longer distance than going through Aberdeen Tunnel indeed.  

What is the time and date?  Just want to check if it is a rush hour.

Hi parents,

Do you think that I will be feasible to attend both interviews?

SPCC - interview time : 11:30 a.m.
DGJS - arrival time: 2:35 p.m.

I am so headache now....I am worrying about the prolonged interview time in SPCC and the traffic from SPCC to DGJS....

Do you think I should quit one?
