Really??   French fries are originated from Belgium!!

In Europe, each individual country prefers to maintain their own culture as much as possible so they may not want to call a product “French xxxxx”.
However, in Asia, I guess the name “French fries” are rather popular.

Even in the U.S., many people still call it “French fries” except some point last year when the American-French relationship was very tense, some Americas suggested to call it
“American fries”!!!

however, for your information, French fries are known as "frites" or "pommes frites" in many parts of Europe and are in fact originally Belgian!!!

我地visit當日見"挪亞方舟"未正式開放, 但餐廳開左,比人搞party. 只有guest才可入去.

flostangraphy原來住ma wan, 好幸福哦! 我的小朋友好鍾意佢地有個小沙灘, 路程返tsl 都ok wow!  我地當日即時仲去埋睇樓..... 有d心動!  

同camill 一樣, 我的小朋友都有同daddy玩戶外訓練中心, 佢地一group 8人, 全是daddy同小朋友, 是一項好好的親子活動.

沿小徑拾級而上,有木牌詳細一一介紹的各種植物的由來與功用, 小朋友好有心機慢慢睇, 看完水力發電後,小朋友即時同daddy討論, 整個公園的設計同設施對小朋友的通識教育有一定的好處. 行上瞭望台, 囡囡拿出了筆記簿寫生, 用沿筆鈎出了山巒大概的線條, 怕醜的她雖被一些大人和小孩圍觀, 她還是堅持到完成成品. 我想這一刻她是很享受大自然的美妙, 想把記憶畫載下來.

"next time you let us know when you come!! we will have a pizza together with kids beside the beach!!" 好呀!!! 我的小朋友最喜歡陽光和沙灘, 同食 pepperonis pizza. 可惜當日我地找不到有pizza買的餐廳 . 回到家裹佢地DIY. 把KETCHUP O即在SANDWICH BREAD上, 鋪上SLICE了的PEPPERONIS, 再鋪上CHEESE在面, 叮數十秒便O.K.  總括來說, 是很愉快的一天.

The environment in Ma Wan is very nice..

However, personally I think there are two disadvantages.

1)        Noise pollution from aeroplanes : it seems that Ma Wan is one of the major routes in HK for aeropanes to pass through.   The noise seems to be all day & night long.

2)        Public transport : buses going to Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi and ferries going to Central and Tsuen Wan only.   You can’t even own your car.

Yes, many people say that we can eat the best Hainan chicken rice in Singapore, especially in the restaurant inside Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Sin.
No chance to try it yet for different reasons, though I have been in Singapore for so many times.

hello principal,
you are right, these can be concern.
but actually they are still ok for us,
1/ our apartment is not very high, so the planes don't really bother us  a lot, however, maybe the over night buses sometime... anyway, we have got use to that.
2/ as for us back from europe, the public transportation can't be worst. moreover, we both work in sheung wan, so ma wan is quite good for us (we lived in ma on shan before).
where do you live!?!

dear tingmum,
other than that, the whole family loves living in ma wan. our sons make friends easily in the club house. and we get to know more and more parents through our children as well.

we organize regular gathering with families. my wife loves that. for camill's 4 yrs birthday, we have made a treasure hunt in park island, and children ran and played a lot in the garden which was hard to organize if we lived where else.

so we highly recommend this island.... we are always busy with activities on the island. and for parents it's really a nice place (and safe place to let the children go out and play around ).

Okay.   If you already get used to it, it will be no problem.

We do not live close to you.
With regard to the exact location, we would like to be a bit low profile.

Did you receive the notice before Christmas holiday about "Donny English Team", a kind of English Exercise a day, there are listening, speaking, reading ex. and it is very interesting.
There are trial period until 1/31/09 and so we have a a/c# and password.

Congratulation!   My son's result is acceptable but only Chinese subject.

I heard that most of good secondary schools won't accept kids with conduct below B+ grade.  We must watch out, make sure to keep our kids' conduct B+ or above.
