Oh, it must be exciting to finally meet your baby. You mentioned that it is a "she". That is excellent. Now you'll have one of each. I think Joys is expecting a boy this time too so she'll have one of each as well. Sooo lucky, girls

I went for a gynae check up last week and was crushed when my gynae said, "I think I know why it's taking you longer to fall pregnant". She said I have an ovarian cyst and I may have endometriosis. I told her I have severe menstrual cramps every month. So anyway, I spent the last few days in tears. I kept researching the condition on the internet and basically you cannot confirm that it is endometriosis until I have a surgery. So now I don't know whether I want to be cut open just to confirm whether or not I have it. It could be that we try first for the next few months and if no results, then opt for the operation. It costs a fortune. So now aside from worrying about needing one, I'm worried about the costs. HK$40k thereabouts, apparently. I have two friends who have had the same operation (called a laporascopy) because of endometriosis as well and both have two children.

So there's a glimmer of hope that I will get my baby no.2. I've been so sad...... if they find I have no endo, I just have to be patient in falling pregnant. If they find mild endo, then dr will just remove the scarring and I can fall pregnant naturally, if it's severe endo, I will need help getting pregnant. The last point, when my gynae mentioned, left me in tears.

So anyway I'm trying to be positive and at least I've stopped putting pressure with regards to baby making.

Whatever happens, happens. It's all in God's hands.

Regarding Pui's kindie, yes, she got accepted in her new school. It's called Anchors up in Taipo. Quite a popular schoo too. I heard it is very relaxing and the setting is very similar to Tutor Time. Bright colours, clean and friendly.

My helper will possibly go on leave next week, I may steal a day to come have yum char with you guys

I think you better get the second opinion from another doctor.  Maybe you can have another option.

Hi MayAnne,
Don't worry too much about having the 2nd baby now. You know, compared with many couples who can't even have one baby, you are already very lucky.  Be relaxed to solve the problem as diagnosed by the doctor!  I agree to Canny that you may look for a 2nd opinion.

Joey, Canny and Eva, thank you so much for your kind words.

I will be seeing Dr Philip Ho on Monday next week for a 2nd opinion.

On top of all these, my helper has just told me that she needs to return to the Phillipines for 2 weeks because her sister has just passed away.

My mother in law will be taking Pui to school from Thursday onwards.

I've spoke to Victor and because we may still have time (we're not young but not too old), we may continue trying naturally for a few months and if nothing happens, then we will go for the surgery. The surgery costs just as much as a c-section

I've been talking to a few friends and have found out that three of them also had endometriosis but were able to conceive naturally after the surgery. But then I've been reading so much on the internet about how it depends on the severity of the condition. I'm scaring myself.

I think I must try to be positive and take one thing at a time. First try naturally, if fails, then go for surgery and then hopefully I'll get good news within 6 months after. If not, then I'll deal with it when it comes........

Last night, Pui Pui was singing a song and in it, she kept repeating Hay Hay's name so I'm pretty sure they played together yesterday at school

I'll start my maternity leaves in mid-Jun, still 2 wks to go..... It's so hot now and my tummy is getting bigger and bigger, making me quite "sun fu" when travelling to work every day...... busy at the office too, have to clear up the work as much as I can before taking the leaves....
