有人認為, 入得2nd round, 有50%, chance 好好!

但我自己就認為...........首先, 係咪真係有150個位呢?(因為要預左有x%係校董, 主任推薦,係必收o既小朋友), 另外 呢300個小朋友有入面, 又有d 係old boy, 同宗教, 哥哥讀緊, 咁佢地入o既chance 又大好多! 可能淨係呢班o既小朋友都已經over 120 個, 咁我地呢d 無宗教, 無關係o既小朋友, 要fight 低佢地, 其實個chance 仲低過1st round.

However, the game is still  fair compare with spcc since we can see there is quite a number of 'non-related' boys have been accepted every yr.

Can you tell how many is 'unrelated' boys last year? How can we find out?

old boy, 同宗教, 哥哥讀緊有分加其实都可以理解.
我的小朋友也不是 old boy, 無宗教, 無哥哥讀緊但亦有2nd int.  我个人認為DBSPD 会比 SPCC 透明度高及收圍內人比較少, 收学生方面也比較多完化 (上至高官/名人子弟, 下至中產平民亦可入讀).  我有3个朋友在上年也有 2nd int, 他們其中2个都是 old boys.  但最后一个得一个就不收連 waiting 都無.   另外1 个完全無関係都入咗.  小朋友分面, 1个 SC, 2个KV.   小朋友臨場表現該是最関鍵.  希望是有的.  預祝所有家長也心想事成 (當然包括自己在內!)

My boy also attended 2nd interview.  We have no relationship of any kind (no religion, not old boys), I also believe that our chance is slim.  But, after all that we have been through, I of course hope that we can be one of the lucky ones.  I think most mom responding to this topic has the same state of heart. :-|

I was told that many old boys' sons did not get accepted last year. Being an old boy probably just gets you pass 1st in, and once you get to 2nd in (which counts for 50% of the points) everyone has equal chance. I believe it is still a fair game for everyone, so don't give up so soon. Good luck to us all.  :wink:

hi Elainec !

One from SC (old boy), the other one from KV (no relationship).  Actually, all 3 boys are very smart from I can see but sometimes it's hard to predict/control how they perform during the interview.   

I heard many kids from SC this year had the 2nd int as well as KV.  CCKG also had but not so  ideal if camparing the previous years.   Most likely KV & SC each have 600 students, that is the reason why their % a bit high.  It's logical.  

No matter which schools the boy comes from, still have great chance there.  I think DBSPD won't care about this as long as the boys are what they're looking for.  Just my opinions & no intention to offense any KC/SC/CCKG's parent.

My boy is also waiting for the 2nd interview result ....I'm getting nervous these days!

One of my boy's drawing class classmate is from CCKG, his mother told me that almost 70% of CCKG boys were shortlisted for 2nd interview this year ... much much better than last year! .... it's quite alarming!

No need to worry too much.

There are only 42 boys in CCKG K3. 70% means only 28 boys or so. Still not a big number as compared to the total of 300 boys shortlisted for 2nd interview.

thanks, sparks! but how about hk preschool (樂基), were there some boys from this kindergarten also??

I don't hear anything about HK preschool.  Frankily, it's not so important whether the boys come from the well known schools or not.  It may have advantage but not a "must".  Take it easy.   Just wait for the good news!
