Last year?
I thought RC is a new school.

I do not know which years since I only saw them coming out of the school. But they are of different age groups, from primary and secondary schools.

I hope I have made it clear.
I was answering someone's question.
It was merely "a fact" I was describing.
Did I say I prefer (or the contrary) to have more caucasians?
Can people be more open minded when reading other people's comments?
Otherwise, no one would want to leave comments here anymore.

Having said that, I think all people can have their own preference.
If someone prefers a school with fewer locals, that is his/her choice.

Let's be more open-minded about the language issue. I see nothing wrong with children talking in the language they feel comfortable with as long as the language they use does not "exclude" anybody around.  See what Mr Muller said in the latest primary newsletter on RC web.

No intention whatsoever to put down anybody but couldn't help if someone was quick to take offense. Don't really care who prefer what ethnicity.

You are quite right generally.

But unfortunately, whether parents want to admit it or not, I think many people in Hong Kong are still looking at ethnicity in international schools.

請問各位, 我兒子現在5歲, 但已經不能夠申請year 1, 是否現在就要申請2007年的year2呢?  而見到之前各位的分享, 好像year 2已經滿了, 是否入year 2的機會很細呢?但我仔仔現在只是讀緊國際幼稚園的k2, 咁year 2的面試是考什麼的? 唉很苦惱, 希望大家可以給我一些意見

I'm a little confused by you.  Can you tell when is your son's birthday (mm/yy).  If your son just started K2 in this Sept, it's already the right time to apply Y1 for 2007.  Normally, kids going Y1 next year should be those born in yr 2002.  If your son was born in 2001, you may also try to apply Y1 for him for next year.  I know at least in last year, some kids in my son's class were born a year earlier.

Hi Saturn,

Thank you for your reply, my son was born in November 2001, so whether he should apply Y1 now(如果考到, 佢就可以馬上讀year 1 做插班生) or Year 1 2007 or year 2 2007.

Hi leechang,

I think RC may not accept Y1 插班生 at this moment but you can call the school to clarify.

As for your case, I would assume RC (& all other schools) won't accept your son for Y1 插班生 as he's still studying K2.   If he applies for year 2007, it is most likely that he'll enter Y1 because he'll only finish K2 not K3.

For Y1, there'll be only spoken test but for Y2, both written & spoken test are needed.  RC Y2 new students' parents pls correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the key point to get in Renaissance College is whether your kid is proficient enough in English. If your son is already studying in Boxhill, he should be good at English and then I think he should have no probem !? Unless he's too shy or not responsive enough to show his English proficiency.

Dear RC parents,

Can anyone tell me what kinds of extracurricular activities RC are providing?  How much does it cost for learning the musical instrument after school?  When does the school start and finish?  How about the arrangement of the after- school activities?  Besides the school fee, school-bus fee, lunch, anything else is needed to pay?
