wow, really lotsa ECA!! I was blamed by my mom for letting her to do 4 (PTH, Swimming, Drawing & ballet). We are waiting for TomLee's JMC once she turns 3 yrs 9mth.

Erin sometimes report people movement among the groups. Seems she is quite 8 Kua... haha. Brian moved to another group? Pooh? I forgot... and I was told Hei is still in Pooh.. haha.

I'll be on vacation for 4 days, hubby & I, leaving 2 kids with my mom & maid. Really need a break and leave 2 behind!

Hei Hei really got many ECA, Scott(also called heihei) just learning piano in 青苗, jazz ballet and Cambridge lesson only. I also want Scott learning swimming but it seems to become cold now, maybe next summer la...

Hello, morning.

On Hei's ECA, not really too much coz many of them are of similar nature but diff foci. E.g. Arts & Crafts, Chinese Painting and Painting.  Hei likes drawing very much. I wish to nurture his interest in arts.  The rest is mostly sports.

On music, forgot to tell you that he is studying TL music wonderland too.

Lately, we joined a speech festival course.  I have decided not to participate in the competition this year.  The course is not good for him. There were only 1 boy and 5 girls.  After many lessons (mostly practise practise and practise), he has developed a hatre towards the course. I observed at the last lesson that the class teacher is not professional in handling unco-operative child like hei.  In the first place, I let him try it for boosting his confidence. It turns out to 'undermine' his confidence.  So, I remind myself to be careful in choosing ECA for him. I'm reading a book about this.

How is jazz ballet?  I intend to let hei start piano around 4yrs old. how old is Scott now.  Does he like school and what are his hobbies.

I usually buy books for Nicole from Paddyfield. I am a "shopaholic" (as blamed by my hubby    ) and I think Nicole has over a few hundreds of books. 70% are bought by me & 30% are given by others. Hopefully I am expecting another daughter & so the resources can be reused.  

The bookworm class is actually conducted by a NET in my neighbourhood. As Nicole loves people to read her books so much and I am very limited time to read to her recently, I let her join this. Everytime I will let her bring some own storybooks to the class & the teacher will read the story for her & let her do some art & crafts related to the stories. The teacher commented that she was very talkative & confident in talking in English in the class & let her have the one-on-one lesson now. :

For piano lesson, I also want to let Nicole start at least next year when she's approaching 4.

When I came home last night, Nicole said, "Mum, Erin & I are absent because we are sick. Scott is not sick. I will give him a star sticker tomorrow! Scottie is a good boy"

         She still remember to bring the tiny star sticker this morning but I think she must have dropped it before going to school.

I saw the discussion about relation amongst York, Nicholas and SF.  Do you really know the 'relation' or technical connection of SF with York??  I think it is a sep entity but some common managment personel.  Am I right?  Is Mrs Fung the headmistress?  if not who ?

Since the last "outside school" gathering, Nicole started to treat Erin & Scott as her buddies. She oftern mention their names & tell me what happen to them at school.     

My maternity leave will end right after the CNY holidays. I do have plan to have a getaway trip with my hubby & Nicole after my little baby is born. But still not sure. I am afriad I will miss my little baby so much & won't go.

I've heard there is some news on York in the newspaper today. I didn't buy the newspaper. Let me check it at office tomorrow. But to my understanding, SF seems to be a separate entity but still have certain linkage with York somehow. (but totally no relationship with St. Nicholas now)

But I think if anything happens affecting SF, the school will inform us. I don't have any worry on that.

Scott learning jazz ballet in Shelly De Mozz Ballet, they will dance with jazz and ballet both together at first, and then you can choose whether jazz or ballet for the second level. Scott like play the piano better than before and he had learned some basic musical score. Scott is birth on Jul, 03.

I just came back from Kota Kintabalu, we joined the Malaysia Airline package because Dragon Air package offer odd departure dates.... (Nectarbee, is that where you plan to go in CNY?) A very relaxing trip, because NO KIDS AROUND!!       

What's the news about York & sisters school? I thought York & SF are under same "company"? so everything between these schools are "transferrable"?  No time to catch up with other York thread or news clips.. appreciate if you can update me if anything new.    

Will need to travel to BJ later today. See you on Friday!

  I prepared a short note and intended to ask  teachers to distribute within NCAM class so that we parents of the kids could keep in touch with one another.  Unexpectedly...Oh.. it was turned down for the reason of 'inconvenience'.  Actually I meant well and just wish to group parents for better communication. Maybe they fear that we might have collective action of whatever kind.

Any way, then we just chat here la.  May be we could know more parents this Friday.

Any plan for travelling abroad during LNY?

Neither did I know much about the York and sister schools matter.  Just know they have some dispute over $$ matter.  Stafford is said to be a separate school in competition with York. Yet, I don't think they are in competition. I think they are in cooperation.  Don't know the myth.

Kota Kintabalu - yeah, exactly.  we will go the few days b4 LNY.  Need to apply for leave from SF.

Asked hei who are his classmates, he could name the below:

Erin, Scott, 2 Nicoles, Spencer, Mavis, Jason, Owen, Phoebe, Dilys...etc.  

Hei claimed that he was the vice-monitor woh.    

Any interest to join Gym class together at ymt YMCA?  their class will start in Jan.  Nice if classmates can join and play together.

Actually I seldom bring Nicole to school. Only about once every 2 weeks. Yes, for special functions, you can leave the camera for Miss Yeung to take photos of the kids for you. In the past parties, I brought the camera & ask Miss Yeung to talk photos for Nicole, Erin & Scott (of course also with other kids) and then I share with them afterwards. So that the teacher don't need to take care so many camera. If you don't mind, I can also ask Miss Yeung to take photos of Hei Hei with my camera and share with you. Miss Yeung will take some group photos for them and they are all very nice photos.

As far as I know, there should be only 1 Nicole & I boy called Nicholas in NCA. But there is also 1 teacher called Nicole Lee.

Which performance your kids are assigned to for the Christmas Party? Miss Yeung originally plan to assign Nicole to the daning performance. However, Nicole was not willing to do so. She told Miss Yeung and me that she doesn't like dancing and so we don't want to force her. But she will join the singing group and she sometimes sing "Santa Clause is coming to down" at home now.

Looking forward to meet you all again this Friday. Hope the weather is good.

The jazz ballet class total had about 15 children with 2 teachers and three boys only.

We planned to -Langkawi- in LNY about 1 week with my sister and brother’s family.

Nicole told me yesterday that Scott & another boy in her Piglet group were absent. She said Scott was absent because he's sick.

Scott assigned to be a Mickey Mouse and dancing in the Christmas party, so this time Scott and Nicole will be separate for the performance.

As I mentioned before, Nicole was orginally selected to perform the Mickey Mouse dance with Scott & other kids. However, she was very resistant to dancing and told me & Miss Yeung that she doesn't want to dance. Therefore, we don't want to force her. But she loves singing very much. She sings the songs "Santa Clause is coming to town" so often at home now & she promised to perform it well. But not sure if she will be shy when she's at stage.

Nicole kept mentioning the picnic to the beach this Friday. She is looking forward to this. Hope the weather is good on that day.

There is news about York every year.. at least at the time of K1 application. I bet there is always ways of "doing business" in this industry. It's the matter of whether they're "exposed" or not. Honestly, I don't know what's the relationship between York & Stafford, although we know these 2 schools are very very close. If there is any fraud in their business, someone will definitely dig out for us. I bet we all find Stafford quite satisfactory, "value for money", right?

In fact, I kinda agree with Mr Arthur Lee in his approach in handling "education vochure" to private kindergarten, which makes the kindergarten more transparent to the public if they receive "indirect subsidy" from government via us. Let's see how it goes... Just no time to worry about other people's comment on other school... haha...

Hi all,
How's the plant? Ours is certified today.       . Perhaps We didn't give it enough sunlight although we water it everyday.        

We went to Kidx at Harbour City yesterday & saw the Children's Cancer Fund Christmas tree sponsored by SF. Nicole took a picture with the tree.      

I start my maternity leave today. Just wait & wait......   Hope I can join the X'mas Party this Saturday.

Our plant is still doing OK, but look very "dry". No flower yet. I took some pictures last Saturday which was the ONLY time that Erin & I spent on it so far. The maid water the plant for us so far. I saw there is another thread in BK saying this kind of flower is very delicate.
