I visited ICS kindergarten last week. The staff said when the P1 move to the new building and vacant two rooms, then they may run the playgroup. It may occur one year later.

Dear tommyzoe.

Are your child study ICS?
When I visit ICS, I feel the student is too good as they put their hand back and keep quiet while walking. Will they be happy studing at ICS?
As I will make choice between ICS and SJS, what is your suggestion.

They are "good" but they are not "nerdy" at all..so don't worry.

Our kid will study R1 in coming August. If you had visited ICS already, you would agree that the discipline of students are very good. In fact, I had talked with some people around this school since the birth of our kid that they all gave us very good comment to the discipline of ICS students. I would like to observe ICS students once I have time. I noted that they are very outspoken but discipline. As lenglengma said, they are not nerd.
To choose which schools for our kids, I think that is so personal. It depends on what you are seeking for. Because SJS is under operation of ESF, I don't want to compare SJS with ICS. If so, I will be a lot of troubles.
As a scholar in higher education, we are confident to let our kid study at ICS and so do our friends in higher education too. However, this is just our personal thinking! We hope don't make anyone angry. We are peaceful!

All comments here are just personal view. Please be open-minded to accept different schools. Each school must have its strength and weakness.

I take ICS as first choice. But I also will send application to ESF (Tsing Yi) to play safe.

If I drive my kid to ICS and pick her up afterwards, will I get free parking in both trips? I will go through Shing Mun Tunnel, which way is faster? The way to Royal Ascot or Fo Tan factories area?

Yes, you will get the stamps for both.  I need to know where are you coming from to school in order to find out which way is faster for you.

I think both ways are almost the same.  However if you go to Fotan direction, there may be more stops (signals) than going to the Royal Ascot direction.

Some students live at Shatin and study at Tsing Yi (ESF).
But some live at TSing Yi and study at ICS.
May I know why you give up Tsing Yi (ESF).

My girl is studying in ESF TY K1 and will transfer to ICS R2 in the coming August. ESF is pretty good and my daughter is studying happily here. The only reason why I move is that we're devoted Christians, we wish my girl could study at a Christian school. I could remember last year, there was a theme in ESF TY called Diwali, which is an Indian festival. The school was decorated with many Indian Idols, the children read the stories of Indian gods and learnt their way of praying and celebrating this festival... To non-christians, I think it's fine, just an experience to other culture. But as a Chrsitian, I was very unhappy, and my daughter was absent on the day when they learn the Indian prayer. That's why I deceide to move her to a Christian school.
