how old is your baby ?  you may visit the campus on the open day.  Open Day of Hampton Loft campus will be on Mar 25.

My parents brought Brian to LH at around 12.30 this afternoon and I arrived at around 1.30pm after work.  LH was so well decorated and the kids there enjoyed so much.

Brian joined Miss Amy's music class and he enjoyed it so much.  However, he showed no interest in the Cookery class and he refused to enter the room.

Earliest join date of PN class will be Dec this year.  Learning Habitat is a good school.  I've also got a friend studying in the PN class in Hampton Place as well.  Not bad.  The teachers & amah there are good.  My son loves the school.  Many different kinds of activities going on.  Kids will for sure learn while having fun.

Anyway, do visit the Open Day first & have a school interview later & then make the decision.

We visited at around 11am & left at about 12:30pm.  My boy was having fun in making crown, cookery & artwork.  Of course, he had great fun in the playground where he could drive a lot of cars, played the slide, played in the small house & stacked the blocks.

I was also amazed to see my son mastering the skills of riding tricycle since we do not have one at home.  I then knew that they've got playtime in the playground everyday & that's why he knew how to ride one.

Do you notice any skills learnt by your son at school ?

We arrived at school around 12:00 and stayed till 1:15. He just liked to play the cars and not interested in making bread. Actually, Preston and Brian and Hin man played the cars together and bumped into each other and laughed. I think they are good friends in class. However, Preston is shy when I'm with him and need to warm up for a while b4 he played.
Preston still doesn't know how to ride a bike. We have a bike at home and he likes riding it. But he likes to walk with his legs coz that way is much faster than pedaling. We told him so many times to teach him pedal but he still likes walking(running) on the bike. But it's so funny when his legs walks so fast.

I do notice that kids may behave differently when they are with parents.  It's good that they've got friends at school.

My son definitely loves the school.  When he goes to the playground, he just gets so excited that he runs around & pay no attention to us.

By the way, does your son runs a lot at home ?  For some strange reasons, my son loves to run rather than walk at home.

Brian used to walk with the tricycle months ago but he can now ride it using the pedals.  I found that most kids started with walking and it's funny that they can move their legs so quickly and they can control their speed so freely.

Brian also runs a lot at home.  Running seems to be one way for Brian to use up his energy.  After adjusting his time for napping, he can now go to bed at around 9.30pm.

Brian will start the Heep Hong training this Saturday.  However, the training will start at 4.00pm, which is the nap time for Brian.  They suggested me taking up this time slot and make changes when other time slots are available.

Which centre will Brian go to? I think once a week is Ok and maybe you can let him sleep a bit later on Friday and wake up later. Preston somehow does not nap for 1-2 times a week but sleep earlier at night. (although he may get grumpy at around 7:00)

Preston doesn't know how to walk, but only run, no matter at home or outside. That's why is so tiring when we bring him out, coz he doesn't like to hlp hands but keeps on running. You know is so dangerous to run on the street. Sometimes I jsut stop there and make him come back but sometimes we have to run and catch him. What a naughty boy! I think girls don't have this problem.

Brian will go to Pak Tin Centre.  Actually, I prefer Nam Cheong Centre as my working place is around.  However, Pak Tin Centre is the only one which has available time slots right now.

According to their practice last year, the result will be released in three weeks after the interview and they will give you two to three weeks to decide.

Doris,  it's good to notice that the sleeping habit has really changed.  You then have more time at night.

Now I know that kids do run more than walk.  My boy does walk on the street, not run.  So, Lydia, you have to repeat the advice to your son every time when he runs on the street.  I cannot think of other ways but to keep reminding.

BTW, how many hours of sleep do you usually get ?  Do you wake up in the midnight to check on the your kid ?

I used to go to bed with Brian at night, unless I have brought some urgent work home.  I will wake up two to three times at night to check on Brian.

I have chosen a Monday in April for 'story mother'.  Did Ms. Hung call you beforehand and do you need any preparation?

I have not checked on Preston for long time, since 1 year old? or unless he has a fever, then I'll check on him 2-3 times. I need enough sleep for me to function in the daytime.

Ms. Fu ? called me last week and she said you can prepare a book to read in class. I'll let you know after Monday. Preston went to Heep Hong class today. He is improving and more initiative now. He follows the rules well. He even told other kids to sit down and behave, like a teacher.

I'm planning to let him learn other things, any suggestions? Music or mandarin? How about easter, any activities for him, I'm worry he'll be bored at home.

It's good to hear that Preston is improving.  Brian had his first training session yesterday.  He behaved well at the beginning, but he lost concentration when he heard that kids were playing outside after about 20 minutes.

About Easter holiday.  They have only got six days of holidays.  I am thinking of going back to mainland for two days, but it all depends on whether my husband is free.

I'll also be a story mother in April.  Lydia & Doris, pls do share your experience by then.

Putonghua, I just think that as a Chinese, we may master it.  And, there will be Putonghua lesson in primary school.

I wonder if art class is suitable for kids aged 3.  If it helps kid's development, it worth trying.

As for Easter holiday, going to the country side or the beach is a good activity.  Nonetheless, I still have not got any plan yet.

Suddenly think if it's good to take my kid for a trip during summer vacation.  You know, they are still very small kids.  Can you share your thoughts ?
