hello chatroom台長 and all other SP parents,

sorry for my late late reply, as my girl got fever last week..... very busy  taking care of her.... :cry:

anyway, as all other parents said, I don't think there is 精英班 and all girls are 大dull亂ga,  It's quite good wor , at least no pressure for the girls ma!

At the end of the term,  the first 10 girls in each class will get an award and will be announced in the assembly (in front of all schoolmates) so, it's another way to encourage girl to work hard.

Just to remind you, last yr, I know several girls in my girl's class need to be repeated.   but don't worry, I am sure all your girls are 口力 女!!

yes ah, my girl also joined the dancing class too, but today, she got sick... didn't go.  She is still not feeling well this week.  

This week,  we have Maths test, English dictation and next week Chinese dictation (need to  背默 tim) and test..... 救命 ah!

考試無名次是好的,起碼對我們做媽媽的壓力不大呀!未知你們是否認同?對於不發還考試卷,就有少許意見!會令我們不能幫助囡囡改善有錯的地方.測驗測得密與否,就見人見智.一星期才一科,應該有時間溫習嗎.但一星期內又中默,又英默,加埋測驗就比較幸苦!大家一起努力吧.

不如我地組織個mother fun club, 讓d小朋友可以出來聚一聚lar. 銅鑼灣有個紀律部隊club,可以high tea, & 有個playroom 給小朋友玩ga. 不如就在test前happy 下lar. 這些日子好似好悶,放工食飯,做功課,溫dict, 每日一扁then睡覺 這樣的日子遙遙無期......

tks for your concerns, my girl is getting much better now. but because having fever last week, so she doesn't have much time to prepare for the maths test yesterday, hope it's okay!!!

I totally agreed with you, 考試無名次是好的, as not so much pressure for us.  Honestly, for P1 and P2, I don't see the school has been very pushing yet.

I heard that many schools too, don't give out exam papers, but why???? does any parents know?

fafa2005 is right,  but don't worry, for Eng and Chinese subjects, it is divided into 5 catergories, (usage, dictation, oral, composition and writing) so, if the test is not good, at least writing can help to  拉高 the marks, so, it is not so easy to get repeated!!!  :wink:

don't worry, teachers will let you know the scope for the test weeks before and you need to sign too.

For dictation, teaher will 預先默 weeks before exam  and for composition, just revise the worksheet should be able to handle.  Good Luck!!!

I don't know if other parents have this feeling, I have a feeling that teachers are willing to  help them to pass, not to make it difficult for them.  so, just relax and don't give the girls too much pressure.

We (p2 parents) have tests and dictations in Oct and Nov and then in DEC ---- EXAM , never ending.......

I share your views that it takes a lot of time to complete the homework, prepare dicatation and 每日一篇 everday. So it's a great to gather and relax before the test.

Do u feel the english  每日一篇 is very difficult for girls, as compared with St. mary one that is more simple. Does Charing can complete it by herself in the morning? what time does charing wake up every morning & fall in sleep in night?

Totally agreed with you that the english essay reading is not user friendly and sometimes difficult for a P.1 student. Charing needs my guidance to complete the essay reading so she will take it after the dinner. After essay reading, reviewing the homework and text books, and practising piano, she will go to sleep around 10:30 pm as she will be very tired. Then the alarm will sound at 8:30 am but Charing always hides under the blanket for a while.

For preparing the dictation, I found that other post "小一串字" is a good reference for teaching P.1 kids to remember the spelling. I'm impressed by the method "vowel" + simple word and will try to apply it for preparing the dictation with Charing.

Hello everybody:

Is there anyone can supply some information about St Paul's kindergarden (Happy Valley). It's quite difficult to find this school.  Most of them are about Causeway Bay's.  
I was a graduated student of SPSS (secondary only), can my daughter get any marks from me (kindergarden)?
The name of SPCS is much more famous than SPSS. Is Convent really better than Secondary? To myself, I don't think so. But to the public, it does. Especially for the kindergarden and primary session.

To my knowledge, there is no St. Paul's kindergarten at Happy Valley, there are St. Paul's nursery and kindergarten at Leighton Rd only.
