My kid did say something like this last night but she could not recall clearly. Tks for sharing.
BTW, she knows nothing about wrapping the school books.

My kid said she has party last week.
But I found out from teacher that because she announced that it is her birthday, the teachers and classmates sung her birthday song and they imagined blowing candles and sharing birthday cake as game.
For real birthday party, i think it should be once every 2 months and the 1st one is likely to be held in Oct.

我囡都有講書本及功課都要包喎!
另外上星期我囡背數學表:1+1=2;1+2=3;1+3=4.............至到1+9=10。跟住我問佢咁9+1=?，佢話老師都咪教喎。

我囡唔叻架，好鬼細膽，我日日都問佢今日係學校玩咩呀，所以有時會知道。好似禽日咁，我工人姐姐唔記得比食物盒我個囡，而我囡話有2個小朋友問佢妳個茶點呢?我囡答佢等等，我找吓先，跟住同同學講我飲水得。我都唔明無理由老師唔知架，真奇怪。放學時我工人同我囡講對唔住，我囡話唔緊要啦!係咪好抵死。

Tks to BK website I can learn from other parents like you that what's going on at Kentville.
To avoid giving her pressure, I only asked my daughter what did the teacher play with them at school and let her start the conversation. But she always replies that she does not remember la   :cry:  :cry:  :cry: !
Today over telcon I told her that I knew the song she sung at school. She was very suspicious and asked where did I learn it.

let me ask my son about wrapping.  did yr daughter tell u the paper with all english letters and pics has to 過膠 because it will be reviewed throughout the whole year.  but dont forget to fold before 過膠.  

one more thing, ms lau will ask them to line up one by one and hand in the handbook for stamping before school starts, which is different from K1.

Dear aumom & Tsztsz,

When did you recv'd the paper that has to 過膠 ? I have not recv'd it yet (2D)  

And, did teachers of your class give Rank (A,B,C) on yr kids' homework, which they never did on K1 homework ??   

(I remember the teacher mentioned kiddos have to improve in writing at K2 as the homework books may be submitted for P1 application)

My kid only got "B" on her homework, but I don't want to push her on writing too much at this stage, particularly as she is left-hander, sometimes she really writes quite messily.

i got that paper yesterday.  pls check with the class teacher.

yes they grade their writing now, not only give cartoon stampings.  although we dont want to push our kids, i guess its important to have nice handwriting cuz as i know, for P1 interview, the school not only focus on their performance on interview but also mark their handwriting.  so its time to correct or improve in K2.  

dont worry my boy got "B" too.  but i did tell him he should write tidely and nice to get an "A".  haha!

Dear aumom,

tks for yr advice. Sometimes both daughter & I are frustrated on the homework issue. Last night she wrote the chinese "kung" (sorry i don;t know how to type chinese), I have to erase all she wrote at school to avoid getting a "C" next time!

另外女女嘅老師話唔好用三角筆，女女之前同我講過老師話要用"中文棒"鉛筆，紅色嘅，又好寫，又好擦，好似賣廣告咁，估咗幾耐先知原來係"中華牌"鉛筆。我今日問過Miss Wong，原來三角筆太粗，小朋友會被支筆遮住，睇唔到寫到條線未喎。你哋嘅小朋友有冇提過呢？
