pls tell me is your child have great improvement after study in CCKG?What about the teaching method?Is it having a great teaching method to teach child more bright and easy to go to famous primary school?

Dear all,
Could you share with me your comment and experience with CCKG? The information I got from other parents is CCKG is  not solely a Kinder which attached to famous Primary school but it is a school who emphasis on English and moral eduction which is the school I am lookng for.  My son is nearly 3 year old, Birthday is in Oct.  I am a working mother and my husband travel a lot for business, therefore we rely on a Filipino maid to take care of my son during the day time.  I am not sure whether my way of thinking is right or not, starting from the beginning, our medium of comminication is English to avoid confusion(my maid can only speak English).  But I encouter difficulty now for my son prefer speaking English, he likes to communicate with English speaking person and foreigner and speak not much in Kindergarten(Cantonese speaking enviroment).  Therefore, I think CCKG may be a good environment for him(although we are not sure whether we are so lucky to be accepted). I also learnt from other parents this Kinder prefers Kentville and St. Catherine, if this is the case, our chance will be dim for my son is studyiing in Alliance Kindergaten Kowloon.  Do you have any other suggestion?

All birds of a feather flock together. St. Catherine has a better track record. So, if a parent aims at CCKG, where would she send her child to for K1? Similarly, if she aims at the 2 Diocesan schools, which kindergarten would she want to put her child in?

Statistically, Kentville's record is not as good as St. Catherine's. Yet, as the interview takes place in December and January, I don't think that the nursery has any magical contribution to play.

Although the interview for CCKG is conducted in English, it is more strictly speaking a bilingual kindergarten. So if you child is not proficient in Chinese, he will surely find a hard time there.

As the kindergarten only has 84 children in each of K2 and K3, the teachers know every child well. Teaching is not restricted to academics; moral education is a focus too.

My understanding from other parents is that their children have substantial improvement. Besides academic ability, they have also become much more independent. All in all, they have great time in school.

I think the students selected by the headmistress are smart. The school makes them smarter.

DPS is a subsidized primary school. Admission is based on Government's Placement Scheme. Starting from September 2005, it has become a co-educational school.

DBSPD is a DSS boy school, which is a feeder school to DBS.

各位:

大家好!請問邊位有興趣想為小朋友自組英語拼音及會話班? 小女是K2學生,現在誠意推介一位英語老師,她是香港聖心小學的英文老師,今年剛剛退休,她巳教小女大半年,現在小女英文聽及講的能力改善很多,還識了很多英語拼音,老師話教完拼音,遲些可以教Grammer. 她雖然不是外國人,但是她說的英語比外國人還標準.
由於小女巳轉校,故此與原有組班的小朋在時間上未能配合,需要另外Form一組. 如有興趣,可PM我.

I believe CCKG is a very good kindergarten. My cousin's daugther did not like going to school in K1 but she enjoys CCKG so much on the first school day.   The teachers have "heart" in teaching and they love every kid.

May I know if there is any quota of application forms being distributed on 3 Nov 2005? Do I need to go the school much earlier than 9 am? Please advise.

I have the same question like skam. Surely I can arrive at CCKG at 9:xx a.m. However, I worry if it will take a long time to queue up before I can really get an application form. Will there be many cars around on that date so that I cannot find any parking space? Please advise me the situation last year so that I can estimate the possible circumstances this year.
