DGJS 今日開始 2nd Interview

我係今朝比較早IN架,當時係300-400既中中間間果D號碼啦.

Actually a friend of mine just told me she was told by a teacher from Nice Studio that the DGJS 2nd round is only 7 days this year.  

Well the school had started on Nov 1 and if I do not count Wed and Sat, then it is true that the interviews will run from Nov 1 to tomorrow Nov 11, first 2 weeks of Nov.

Nice studio's news should be coming from parents, who girl studied there for Interview Class and got DGJS second in. If someone will be second in next week but is not Nice Studio student or if they didn't told Nice studio (as interview class has been finished), then Nice Studio will not know = > so I think this info is not reliable.

會唔會11/11 又未in 晒, 但14-16/11校長又唔得閒,17/11先in埋餘下的囡囡呢

我個女第一日 in 時我都見有另一個 no., 而據我所見，第一日總共 in 70 人，亦與今日 interview 的人數頗 match (6th day of interview, 上午 interview no. 去到 300 - 400 之間）。

今日in完，想講下與校長眼神交流一事。其實覺得校長望實waiting room嗰邊多d，因為今日好似有overrun情況，我喺校長室門口等嗰時，出面入面都坐滿哂。阿女in完之後，佢第一時間都是望waiting room嗰邊，覺得佢concern太多人報到後冇位坐，同時喺門口嗰個職員又行開咗，之後先望回我哋兩pair家長，跟住阿女同佢講bye bye, 佢應咗一應，又望waiting room那邊。

點都好，而家講咩都無用，只有等待。

校長幾十年既教學經驗, 真係可以係幾分鐘內辨別出, 囡囡是那個TYPE的, 而選擇偏好的某種性格. 我們試試代入成年人的INTERVIEW中, 老闆也不是IN你十幾分鐘, 同你講幾句, 已經看得出你醒不醒目? 從談話中的主動性, 禮貌, 語氣, 反應得知你是否勝任了, 不是嗎? 當然, 我唔敢講, 呢個係好公平的方法, 對慢熱的小朋友來說, 真的很蝕底! 無論對成人來說或是小孩子來說INTERVIEW 就是這樣的殘酷....
例如:我本身是性急的人, IN到一個豬油包的人, 我一定不可能挑他做我的下屬吧!?

其實, 我覺得今年已經比較公平了, 有1ST IN, 可以考到小朋友的實力, 再進入 2ND IN 給校長挑自己杯茶.....

Do you think Mrs Dai makes the decision simply based on her impression & feeling?  Or will she consider the school results and other info. given in the 4 pages?

1. 今日囡囡完成任務了。作為超細女，有機會入到決賽，我已深感欣慰，她亦向自己有所交待。真的感謝神。無論如何，大家都辛苦了。雖然這場賽事仍未有結果，但找機會relax一下吧！

In my opinion,
Everything counts....like a scoring sheet.
performance (2nd interview):XX%
portfolio content: XX %
others (old girl / siblings/ Christian): XX%
Our portfolio content was not impressive at all, so I think points scored in performance due to luck. And, I always think my daughter was accepted marginally. Trust me, my daughter is not smart, not aggressive, no special talents. She only loves reading, that's why I'm glad that she's in this school that everyone loves reading there. And, it's a great place for such a timid girl to learn. Hopefully, she'll be influenced and becomes more proactive.

Not sure about the weight (0.1 to a few %?), and I guess old girls / siblings relationship would  weigh more.
