上星期見完家長, 我地的班主任好了解仔仔, 講得出小朋友的性格同弱點, MISS FUNG有建議我地借多些仔仔喜愛的科學書(中文)比仔仔睇來改善亞仔的中文能力. 她只是教仔仔中文科, 竟有留意到仔仔特別喜愛看科學書. 她真係一位細心的好老師!

The i-cube last day news was told by my duaghter's teacher in P4 so I don't think it is only for P.1 pupils. As I know, kids can online i-cube in school. They can also online it anytime as long as they are free at home too!

I seldom encourage my kid to go to I-cube, any session good for P.1 students?

I like the "coach donny" (English exercise website) suggested by the school. I'm surprised that no BK parents talking about that.

On the other hand, I have a lot of negative comments on 每日一篇:
1) kids can get the points even they answer the questions wrongly => misleading the kids
2) the PTH speaker is awful sound, though the pronunciation is accurate
3) the content is boring
.....
Not sure if other parents have similar feeling, should we reflect this to the school

每日一篇, 好多家長都好鐘意wow! 我對仔女好少入去做, 因為佢地做功課好慢, 通常做完功課己要上床睡覺. 我仔仔都提過數次pth個男人聲雖然發音好準, 但在聽覺上, 聽cantonese version 舒服好多. 他是拒絕聽每日一篇的pth version.  很頑固的一個小孩.

而我覺得每日一篇有的作者可能在寫文章時是用廣東話思考, 因此有些文章,讀者用廣東話來讀很順口, 但用普通話來讀, 就有些不自然的感覺!

假期剛同小朋友去完馬灣公園, 是一個主要以自然生態及保育環境為主題的公園, 地方好靚,有一個小沙灘,可以飽覽青馬大橋, 公園各種設施展館很具教育意義, 值得介紹大家帶小朋友去行下. 由荃灣碼頭坐船約10分鐘到達.

馬灣主題公園
公園將整個山頭，興建以各國環境為主的自然公園，包括南非、地中海等。除了園林外，公園亦設有挪亞方舟大型綜合展館，館內設施包括展覽館、創意科學教育中心、電影院、以及主要提供予學生使用的宿位等。其他設施還包括天文展館、馬灣歷史博物館和多用途表演場地等.

◆挪亞方舟
方舟樓高5層，地下設有一個多媒體展館，展示各個主要的《聖經》歷史故事，包括大洪水與挪亞方舟這個傳說，亦設有一個創意科學教育中心以及電影院。

◆動物花園

Do we need a whole day to finish looking at all facilities or just half day will do?

2) Do we need to buy entrance ticket or is it free of charge?

3) Is it only the first phase of the park to be open by now?   Or are all facilities completed by now?

we live in ma wan!!
we didn't know that 挪亞方舟is open already?!??!! we didn't visit inside yet!!
however, we do go to the park quite often!!

Pls take piglet along next time !
(But not this past weekend - he was down with flu and fever.  I think he got it from schoolmates.  And he usually falls ill during weekends, but fine again during weekdays for school. )

Like S, piglet prefers the Cantonese version to PTH narration too.

1) How big is this Ma Wan Park?

actually not that big. but the paths in side the park are interesting to visit. however, half day will be enough.
it does have 2 sessions open hours. morning from 9:00 to 11:00 and 1pm to 5pm.

2) Do we need to buy entrance ticket or is it free of charge?
free of change for the park. however for the adventure journey, as i remember should be 30hkd per person. children need to be accompanied.

3) Is it only the first phase of the park to be open by now?   Or are all facilities completed by now?
the park is completed.
however, we was thinking that the noah's ark will only be completed in march. we did see some organized tour visited inside...
we have never able to get in yet....

let us know when you come. we can enjoy a pizza beside the beach, there is a very nice restsurant. and the children can play around the beach.

he he he!!! yes!! french fries are good!!!
however, for your information, French fries are known as "frites" or "pommes frites" in many parts of Europe and are in fact originally Belgian!!!
