My daughter is also studying in Norfolk Road (A.M.), her class is (N Yellow) which is for the eldest students' group, there are 31 students.

My son's class is also divided into a & b group, but with a Chinese teacher each.  The English teacher is shared between the two groups.  Each group has around 16-18 students, so it's 30+ students sharing 3 teachers.  According to the timetable, the two groups will mix together during certain activities (it's actually a big room divided into 2 by a sliding door)and the class will be conducted in English for about 50% of the time.  

Honestly the environment is not that good - definitely worse than that of my son's pre-nursery school.  The arrangement is also a bit strange and it seems that it is not the same with every class.  Anyway, it looks ok so far.  The English teacher in particular appears to be quite experienced.

Hi Ciz,

Besides the classroom matter, the English teacher of my daughter is not an Expat, she is a Chinese but native English speaker from England.  That is also out of my expectation.  She is good, but I still prefer my daughter to really have chance to follow an expat teacher.  That's the main reason for me to apply for my daughter to study in St. Catherine's.  So far, I am just 50/50 on this school as everything is not as perfect as I expect.

可能我自己英文唔好，知道其中之苦滋未，於是很想個女學好D英文。
巧合地，佢對英文好似sensitive 過中文。於是順理成章比個去讀英文pre-nursery, 返屋企同Bun Bun 又講英文，同grand parents 又講英文。於是佢就唔肯講中文，但佢識聽。我諗佢返左學後，一定識講中文啦。

I just went to school on Friday only. As I recalled, in my daughter's group, there were 3 boys and 2 girls and I can only remember the names of Esther and Thomas among them. How about yours? Boy or girl?

i asked the Chinese teacher if the English teacher will stay in the class all the school hours, and she answer YES.

In my son's class, the english tearcher will stay in the class except the Chinese lesson.
My son told me yesterday, he had play in the playground (climb & slide) & his teachers are blow the bubbles.

When I asked the Chinese teacher, she told me that the English teacher will not stay in the class during the Chinese lesson  & 遊戲時間, but I don't know which means playing inside the classroom or outside the classroom.  
Sorry I don't understand what is grouping section
Or there maybe slightly difference in each class, coz I know the English teacher in my daugher's class will go to another class (lower / upper) to teach the english lesson. Anyway, we could question this in 18/9.  

Any mamies will attend the 18/9's parent orientation ? then we can 相認

My daughter also told me that Mrs Surtani blew bubbles to them for two days and let them play slides at the playground.  Ms Tang brought them to the music room, played piano and sang songs with them.  She looked very happy when coming back.

You daughter told you so much about what had happened at school.  my daughter just said 唔話比你知, 激死 !!      but she sang "Goodbye to you, Goodbye to you, .... " to the maid when she was leaving home, and sang again to me when she got on the school bus this morning, don't know if this is taught by the teachers or she just sings by herself cux she knows the song from VCD.

Hi!
Anson stop crying on Tuesday la! I heard my maid said he even said goodbye to her when he got on to the school bus! What's a relief! I am so happy to hear that.
In the past 2 days, I asked him who told the story to him. He said Monday is Ms. Li (Chinese), Tuesday is Ms. Asha (English). I think I will ask him whether he play the slider or not today. My boy won't tell me proactively what happened at school. I need to ask him question. Then he will answer me.
By the way, I will go to Sep.18 gathering. Hope to see u all!

I asked my daughter what she did in school, she didn't answer me.
Then i asked her if there was story telling, she answer me YES.
I asked her what the story is about, she told me ... but I forgot now.
