您好我的小朋友是讀7年級的，昨天回家說午餐非常難吃，連老師也說飯堂的各種午餐也沒有一種好吃，但在開學前的預備班上課時，在飯堂排隊買是幾好味的，真是不明白為何同一間飯商會在一個月內食物的味道會相差那麽遠呢？

I want to say something about PK chinese teaching book.

Actually I appreciate PK very much for designing its own chinese book to teach the kids, however one thing I find it difficult to understand is why there is no PinYin in the teaching book?
It is especially so when PK is encouraged and used PTH as teaching language.

I find it particularly hard to teach my girls when there is no pinyin, her old school also used PTH to teach chinese and all their books has pinyin which makes the kids so easy to know and recognise the charactor.

I think it would be much effective if the chinese books contain pinyin.

Pinyin is used to help kids to read the books at P.1 and gradually reduce in P.2.  P.3 has very little Pinyin assistance as most kids in PKC (starting from P.1) are not necessary to rely on Pinyin anymore.

Some of parents have raised this issue in the parents days held on September and the teacher said that we cannot expect senior primary kids to rely on Pinyin anymore as the kids has to read books, newspaper that will never provide  any Pinyin assistance.  I am quite agree with the teacher's comment.  I think more difficult will be on those kids who joint PKC at P.3 or above if they haven't had a strong background in Putonghua.  By the way, I would prefer she read me in Cantonese as I would like her to know how to read Cantonese characters as I have never doubt her ability to read the Chinese books in Putonghua after 3 years studying in PKC.

Funling, 你好！

說到未來，這真很難說，也沒人敢說不會加學費。其實，兩年前學校加過一次學費，原因是政府增加教師的薪酬，而學校其中最大的開支就是老師的薪酬。不過政府今年凍薪，因此加學費的壓力就減輕了一點。即使要加學費，學校的原則是以家長能負擔的角度設想。另外，如果家長有財政困難，可以向學校申請津貼或減免的。

Hello puikiufriend,

有家長曾經問我自己的小朋友有否投訴午飯的質素，因她的小朋友曾埋怨午飯不好吃。我後來問了我的小朋友好幾次，她都說午飯比去年難吃。不知道有什麽途徑可以反映一下。

How much is the school fee for Primary school section and secondary school section? Is it includes the costs for ECA?

Hi,

The school fee for Grade 1 is HK$21,000 to be paid in 10 installments and HK$1000 miscellaneous fees per year.

The school fee for Grgade 7is HK$23,000 to be paid in 10 installments and HK$1000 miscellaneous fees per year. And HK$600 for Book Max reading programme.
