係呢，我都想知值唔值得買(CD),因家長日那天我沒有去,老師點樣推介?!thx!
今日小姐又帶咗兩張手作仔比我,一張係個１字嘅圖形,有啲紅色嘅三角形黏係中間(當然小姐黏到出哂界),另一張係SC嘅elephant嘜頭,比佢油顏色上去(當然又好似打風咁啦),而阿囡亦都好滿意自己嘅作品,我就覺得好得意!! :wink:

Hi all,

I agree that it is good that my son is telling me a lot of things from school.  Indeed, my son likes to talk a lot (but only in front of familiar people).  I actually have a headache: he would tell my secret or every tedious thing at home to others (sometimes to acquintances even).  That's why I have to be careful with what I say to him at home or with what he has heard from us    It is quite embarrassing when he tells people things which are not meant to be known by them.

Re the CD:
I have been to the Parents' Talk, but they did not say specifically whether we should buy.  The teacher simply said that it is meant for the PARENTS only, and we should not play it to our kids.  I am planning to buy it anyway.

Re the books:
I have only bought "Siu Tiu Dau", and I am not planning to buy others cos' I don't think they are attractive.  I even doubt if my son would have enough time to read all these books.  Besides, I prefer going to book store for buying books cos' I could skim through the books before buying.

I am really ignorant and never heard of read@home or Oxford Trees etc.    We may however consider buying more of this kind of books later.

(1) Justin and Daniel were pretending to be fathers and Miss Cheung was the mother
(2) In the music class, they did not sing any songs today, but were playing with some sort of rhythm by clapping hands and stemming the feet
(3) The teachers may be introducing techniques for holding pens, cos' my son told me that we should all grip hard with two fingers when writing
(4) They are learning 2 ears, 2 eyes etc. (all in Chinese)

all, 我覺得張書單d書都唔吸引, 我又未睇過內頁, 都唔知佢講咩, 點訂! 我曾經係書展買過數本step in reading, 邊使咁貴, 仲大把有得慢慢揀......我都係留番出年書展拖個喼去買算!

唔訂又唔係幾好?! 會咩, 唔係嘛 咁佢地係封信講到明話無利益沖突架喎 咁唔啱就唔訂架啦.......咁多書, 都睇唔徹!

芷晴又係乜野都冇拎返屋企，我問佢係學校畫過甚麼？
以下係佢既答案：

1) 鱷魚(畫完顏色再塗上漿糊然後貼於另一畫紙上)
2) 有SC logo-Elephant 的書包 (  同上  )
3) 蘋果 ( only 塗顏色 )

佢話 (drawing/做小手工) 全部由 miss chan教，
另外 Mei Mei & Hei Hei 就係 Miss Vanessa 教，
Ms V. 介紹呢 pair 公仔時話佢地係good boy &
good girl ，唔係naughty child 喎!

而每次佢地一班出playground 玩 sir 滑梯，Miss V.
會係個學生 sir 左落黎後 "節"d 小朋友，攪到個個同
學仔都「咭咭笑」架！

但我問左幾次佢都話冇整過 octopus呀

St. Cat phonics CD我會買,因為sept 4 & 5,老師有講過英文咭的大楷字可以教小朋友讀,細楷字是讀音,我諗無呢隻CD,真係唔知個音點讀好.

Kat媽&smallegg, talk show個時有講過,唔好係外面自己學phonics.

lawrence-mom,我選了clifford beginning readers book,5本書+CD是HKD 107.46,算起來HKD 20.00左右一本,同ladybird差唔多.而且now寬頻disney channel有做,囡囡好鐘意.另外一本係反斗車王個本,暑假睇完套戲之後好鐘意.

d 書都唔係 SC 出, 我地買5買 sc 都無利益沖突, sc 應該係想家長買書俾小朋友 培養閱讀興趣o者...

我朋友的小朋友2年前在SC讀, 佢話SC係用唱歌仔型式來教學生學phonic, 與出面教的方式未必相同, 所以怕唔match.

Thanks a lot!

All parents,
My friend's daughter graduated at SC.  She said that the phonics course of SC was good enough.  Her daughter never attended any other phonic courses, but she could pronounce many difficult words by herself.
