Hi Principal,
Yes, long time no chat and no see!! I had just too many trips last month, and as I mentioned b4, it is rather difficult to log into BK in China even though I have "the software".
Without my presence, conversation could be more pure, hahaha..............

If I remember correctly (my son already P.3), the GS test in P.1 composed of :
Fill in the blanks (words are provided)
T & F
MC
Tick and circle the correct or incorrect one
Some tips are:
- Read the questions carefully, teach them some simple words, like "tick", "circle", "proper", "improper" etc.. as some students even don't know what that's meant and the whole part is wrong. But as one mum mentioned normally the teachers will read the questions, but just in case the kids missed it.
- No need for spelling at P.1 but need to recognize the words. It really tests the kids Eng. capability, especially in the part of True & False. So, when you revise the lesson, ask the kids to read out what wrong or correct for those pictures, teach them some Eng. words related to that pictures.
- remember the summary notes : you may read out the summary or make a test, miss the key words and ask the kids to fill in (you may give him some options).
Basically the GS test is not difficult and as far as I observe, quite a lot of kids can get pretty high marks.
The most difficult in general is Chinese (I suppose you're lucky that your kid doesn't need to).

Very informative and helpful. Agree that the General Chinese is pretty demanding and not easy at all. Started P1 in just one month, student is expected to 背默全課. I think the Chinese subject is even harder than the English.

To the students and parents........... add oil !!

Just realized that next Monday will be the discretionary holiday after the P1 admission interview.

你地就好啦, 有得休息下....我今日帶左妹妹IN左兩間學校, 星期日又IN TSL, 星期一呀妹要返學, 我都要早起呢...

但好衰唔衰, 哥哥今日起"風爛", 醫生話感冒菌引起...希望佢千其唔好"野"埋比個妹呀...唔係我就暈架啦!!!!!

Please make sure that "the little movie star" will have the best condition on Sunday.

Also, don't forget to bring a bottle of distilled water (preferably the brand starts with "W") just in case she may feel thirsty.
