my first child could indicate different animals to me when she was 1 yr old. also she would use her hands to show me that she's hungry, wants more food etc. I read the book about baby signs and it said it boosts Baby's IQ by 10 points. I don't know if it's true. now my daughter is 2.5 Im starting to use flash cards but in a different way. I find her not too interested in the cards. so this time I'll try it earlier with my second child.

I've also taught my baby sign language, but not much. I only taught her "milk", "some more", "enough", these are the words we use everyday. After she can understand what we are talking about, I'm not teaching her anymore, especailly she is learning to speak now. But I like this method very much, it help you to communicate to your baby in early stage, that mean you can get close to your sweetheart.

I've been using Phonics Kids since my daughter was 11 months old.  As advised by Mrs. Cheng of GC, you can play the CD two times a day, morning and afternoon, and then VCD one time a day, also in the afternoon.  However, play only 1/3 of the disc each time and play it for two weeks consecutively, and then the other 1/3 for the next two weeks and the remaining 1/3 for another two weeks.  After you finish Disk 1, i.e. Alphabets, you can start Disk 2 but only 1/3 of the disc for every two weeks.  However, when you finish Disk 2, you should go back to Disk 1 again for revision and so the flow will be Disk 1--- Disk 2---Disk 1---Disk 2---Disk 3.

I've also used the same method and my daughter is able to make most of the letter sounds and consonants for just two months only!

如果完除數, 下一步應該教乜.
我睇過gd本書, 但都唔知我理解得

yes I agree. when my child first started to speak then I wasn't as eager to teach her how to sign. I find the prime time for theaching sign language is from 6 months to 14 months.
but lately I'm thinking of whether sign language would actually help in the bilingual family?
isn't it a wonderful feeling when your baby first signed back to you?

我都有問題想問呀,show加減乘除算式時要唔要show埋十.一.x ,除個d符號.上次去小霹靂試堂時,個miss話一定要show符號喎,攪到我又要整多兩套符號,大家可唔可以俾d意見    [quote]

根據GD本書, 即原創者, 係0吾Show十.一.x ,除及等於, 所以我無show, GC 套數點咭manul就話要show, 我緊係跟原創者啦.
