Wow? 300 people for the picnic???       I think they will join with the sister school called Lorraine (not sure the name).

I asked Miss Yeung 2 weeks before about the logistics this Sat. She said we can choose to just participate for 1 hr - no need to stay till 12:00am / 1:00pm. But she also didn't know the location yet. Maybe you can call to ask her as I think they should know it now.

In fact, I plan is to start early, say, 8 or 8:30am then finish by 9:30 or 9:45... then rush back for the swimming lesson. Daddy can drive us to Kowloon City and we take mini bus back home.

If we start at 8:00 or 8:30am, we need to wake up at 6:30 / 7:00am. So, I prefer to start later. Maybe if I arrive earlier, I call you to see where you are?

how was your flag selling day? We didn't go to Kowloon City at last, just stayed at where we live.  :  :

We started around 8:45 and finished in 1hr. We sold "1.5 sheets". haha... Erin was abit impatient after 45mins and always wanted to go home. Also, there were some teenagers around us were selling flag too, so, many people have a little flag after 9:30am. Afterall, it was a very good experience for her. We rehersed a few times at home in selling flag, but at last she just managed to say "good morning" & "thank you".

Hi Dodolumama:

We arrive at 10:00am and stay at Kowloon City around 1 hr .We met jychan at last. Scott also very shy for the whole donation, he just help to stick the flag and say thank you only, but I also think this is a good experiences for him.

Today I met Brian mum and she asked when we will have a gathering, she asked the other mum called Candy we had a gathering before and she also want to join if we have the gathering next time. I think we can date with other mums after the school picnic. Right?

we did not join the flag-selling as we have class every sat morning.  

oh i saw your sharing at a new SF topic.  Stafford seems to be catching parents' attention.

frankly, i am very satisfied with the kindergarten.  

sort of dream-kinder in my mind. most importantly suits my kid's needs.

do you think PTH teaching is weak in SF.

is there a class-monitor system in the class now?  mm.. so early?

who are the monitress/monitor now?

oh, my hei hei is happy. he loves to go to school and likes doing the exercise.  

yet the books distributed to us each week is too easy (frankly)... so we just read them once and return to school. I read from the book-spine that it is only for 0-3 yrs old.     

How do you find SF so far?

We will join the 1 dec and the sand-piling competition!!

Erin is the monitoress of the month.    

I found the PTH textbook is abit too easy. She goes to private PTH lesson every week. I know she understands some simple conversation but she doesn't speak PTH too much in front of us.

Daddy decided not joining the sand-piling competition. Wish you luck!

Nicole is absent today as she is having a cold. Miss Yeung called me yesterday & told me that she had running noses in the class. I don't want her to infect the other kids & takes more rest. She was disappointed when she found that she doesn't need to go to school today.

Nicole is still having the Monitress badge now. She seems still performing some of the monitoress task

Flag Day - We were lazy & sold only around 1 sheet (some were sold in my neighbourhood in Sai Kung & some in Kln City). Hopefully, Nicole was willing to say "Thank you" most of the time. We were both very exhausted afterwards & went home for an afternoon nap.

Picnic - I won't join the sand piling competition as I think I can manage to move around so much in the beach now.

I also find SF quite good so far. At least my daughter enjoyed her school life very much. For PTH, Nicole is totally not interested in the textbook. She now joins a PTH playgroup once a week and she has already learnt a few PTH nursery rhymes and some simple conversations from it.  

However, for the English & Chinese standard, I found SF is really high compared to other kindergarten.

For the school picnic, do the kids need to wear the PE uniforms or simply casual wear? I found the PE uniform is quite think for the weather now.

Erin is absent from school today too. She had fever this morning. But after taking the medicine, she became very noisy & active again, keep knocking on my door & disturbing me    

Do the kids keep Monitor/monitress badge even if they are no longer the monitor/monitress? I understand Miss Yeung & Miss Winnie pick 2 kids (1 boy & 1 girl) every month. So, there will be say around 24 kids will have chance to be monitor/monitress in NCA.

I dont think they need to wear uniform?! They play sand & water, probably need to change ... so perhaps, casual wear all day

Nicole just has running nose but my maid said she's getting better this afternoon - keep playing her new toys bought last Sunday & watching her DVDs.

i let hei try yew chung pth playgroup.  

i seldom hear him speak pth.

what else do you let your kids participate besides going to sf?

we learn drawing, pth, arts & craft, communication skills, swimming, gym and chinese painting.

when is your expectancy date?  you are lucky to hv two kids... it is not easy...

Hei Hei is participating in quite a lot of ECA! Nicole just join a PTH playgroup, a drawing class & a bookworm class in weekdays. I brought her for a ballet trial lesson last Friday. However, she told me that she didn't like it after the class & so I don't want to force her.

Actually I found her quite "mo liu" sometimes in the afternoon. However, if I send her to more ECA, my parents & even my hubby will blame me as a crazy mum.      

Anyway, I am looking forward for starting the whole-day class in K2.

P.S.
What do u think about Yew Chung 's PTH class? I've just got its Winter Programme book today. Actually I have been thinking of letting Nicole to join the Saturday morning class in mid-Jan. (Yes, I am still thinking of getting her 1 more ECA even though I have the risk of being blamed as a crazy mum by my family.    )

My expectancy date is on 24 Dec.

yes hei has lots of ECA.  

I think Yew Chung's Pth is good. the teacher is kind and patient. hei likes to attend the class.  hei is quite picky and he won't like something easily. hence i YC should be quite good.

Heard that Equilibrium is good too.

what kind of books do you buy for nicole?  Where do you buy them from?  I buy from paddyfield mainly.
