Hi everyone,

It rains soooooo heavily today!  Did you send your child to school?  I thought about it for quite a while, and finally decided to let him go and asked helper to let him wear rain boots + rain coat, and bring extra shoes back school (I donno whether teacher will change their shoes)

Then I left for work ... but found that the rain gets heavier and heavier, and traffic on Caine Road was very slow.  I then started to think that may be I should let him stay at home  :cry:

I shall call up the school and ask about their condition later.  Does anyone bring your kid back school today, and can tell me what's happening at school (coz Andrew takes school bus)?  Million Tks!

Hi all,

I got on Hang Hang's school bus and went to school with him this morning.  All the children were wet when arriving school.  But the teachers and helpers are very helpful.  They took off the rain coat and put it outside the classroom.  Children were lining up to wait teacher and helper to change their clothes, socks, etc.  I prepare a set of spare clothes and shoes for hanghang.  Miss Chan said, it would be better to bring along a pair of shoes, socks together with the spare clothes for the child on rainy days.  So, as long as you have in the school bag, they will change for them.  Then, I feel comfortable with their arrangement, and I left to work.

But when I arrived office, my colleagues told me that it is already red rain, I was sooooooooooooo ANGRY!!!!  What is the Hong Kong Observatory doing ar!

Tks for your infomation!!  Luckily I asked Andrew to bring extra clothes, with socks and shoes, just in case.

I also feel angry, as the Red rainstorm only hoisted at 9:30am!  They even said that chance for hoisting Typhoon Sig. No. 3 is minimal ... but now ... it's No. 3 already!!! Soooo worrying!

I am angry too. While I waited for the school bus this morning, I stood somewhere with shelter already, but because of heavy rain and wind, I got wet from head to toe. This morning at 0700 hrs the weather forecast said mininal chance of hoisting T3, but then........red rainstorm and T3. It is wasting our taxpayer money to hire those useless people.

Eugene has his rainboots & raincoat on but no extra shoes & socks, I hope he is okay.  Next time I know what to do.

and i drove car so i felt really crazy!!!
but in fact its not the fault of hko i think
the fault should be from education bureau la
they take the job to decide if go to school or not ma
they should announce before hko red rain or t3
they have power no need to wait!!!
but hko must work according the black and white!!!!

Haven't been on line for several days only ... our post was being left soooo far behind!  Weather changed so fast, and it's getting cool and sunny now!

Been busy preparing for Andrew's B-day party in past week and during week end ... thank God, it's over now, feel much relieved  

Andrew's b-day is exactly on 15/9, when the school held their monthly party.  He was very happy, and called me after school, telling me that he had a lot of sweets, cakes, and received presents.  He was so excited.

On weekends, we'd arranged a b-day party for him.  So much to prepare, but he enjoyed it so much, it worths for the hard work!

Belated happy birthday to Andrew !! I heard the party on Friday was quite a success. All kids had a lot of fun.

Ellie To. I agreed that it was a lot of works for orgainizing a birthday party eg venue, games, food, gifts & attendence. Luckily only once a year.

Cyrus. Poor you!! remember you told me before when Cyrus was in the pre-nursery class on the first week, he did not cry, but after one week, he started to cry. Does this give you any hints or recall anything? There must be a reason for him.

Hang Hang's birthday is Oct 23.  I expect that his party will be held in October.  But he also got a present from school last Friday.  Wondering if all the children will receive presents on every birthday party???

Yes, Horace got a toy too.  I guess all children receive a present.

Horace told me that he starts to learn the letter "b" today.  He likes the letterland CD a lot and he listens to it all the time.

Willie, I believe my son is sitting next to your son.  My son's name is 俊言.  He told me that his new classmate's daddy is accompanying him today. Is it true?

Oh! Hang Hang has the same birthday as me. What a co-incidence.

Eugene loves the lettlerland CD so much, on the first day he brought it home, he listened to it 10 times, I really want to die. Luckily the following days only 3-4 times !! HELP!!!!!

Hang Hang loves the letterland characters and songs so much.  I already got from letterland the "letterland ABC book and CD".  Because I want to know what and how he is learning, and I can also do something similar at home to reinforce his memory on Phonics.

Do any of you know if the school will organise any school picnic in this autumn?

That's good, so you don't need to worry la!

Andrew will not tell me what he had eaten, unless I asked him.  Sometimes he said he had raisin bread with Ovaltine, sometimes cake with water, or orange juice.
